A method for handling insulating materials used for storing snow, wherein the insulating materials covering a heap of snow stored through the summer are taken off the heap of snow before the snow in the heap of snow is transferred to a selected use. In the method, the insulating materials used for covering the heap of snow stored through the summer are transferred to such another use, in which the insulating materials have at least one function other than mere storage of the insulating materials.

SKI RESORT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A ski resort management system comprising: a data acquisition system that receives data from telemetry systems of the lift systems, of the snow generators and of the snow groomers of the ski resort; a processing station; mass storage units, containing a system database fed by the data acquisition system; and a display interface, accessible from operator terminals. The data acquisition system stores data and signals from the lift systems, the snow generators and the snow groomers in the system database. The processing station enables setting a mode of the display interface for alternatively displaying data relative to each lift system, to each snow generator or to each snow groomer, or to display, in an aggregated form, data relative to all the lift systems, all the snow generators and all the snow groomers.

METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR PROVIDING A SNOW STORAGE WITH HEAT INSULATION
A method of providing a snow storage with heat-insulation, the method including covering a snow pile made at a snow storage site with heat-insulating materials of which at least some are insulation boards. In the method, the insulation of the snow pile is carried out by using insulation board mats which include several insulation boards, or insulation board groups consisting of several insulation boards attached against each other, side by side and/or one after another, and which are pivotably joined together, alternately at the upper corners and the lower corners of their opposite transversal end edges, the resulting continuous insulation board mat composed of several insulation boards one after another being foldable into an accordion-like insulation board bundle and re-openable into a continuous insulation board mat. The invention also relates to equipment for providing a snow storage with heat-insulation.

A system for detecting the passage of users in a ski resort, the ski resort comprising a plurality of ski runs and a plurality of ski lifts; the system for detecting the passage of users comprising: an image sensor and a processing unit, which are connected in communication with each other; wherein the image sensor is configured to capture images, such as a video, of a portion of the ski run, and send them to the processing unit; the processing unit being configured to analyse said images, such as the video, and detect moving objects, such as moving in a given direction, and count said detected moving objects; such as the image sensor is a video camera.

A tracked vehicle for preparing ski trails; the tracked vehicle comprising: a frame; two sets of wheels arranged on opposite sides of the frame; two tracks, each of which is respectively run over by one of the two sets of wheels; and at least one support device for each set of wheels, which is coupled to at least two wheels of the set of wheels and is connected in an articulated way to the frame in order to couple the at least two wheels of the set of wheels to the frame; wherein the support device comprises an outer main body, which defines an inner cavity and wherein the inner cavity is at least partially filled with metal foam.
