AUTOMATIC GATE OPERATION AND SYSTEM STATUS INDICATION FOR MARINE BARRIERS AND GATE SYSTEMS
20190226170 · 2019-07-25 ·

A system is provided for automatic operation and status indication of a marine barrier gate. Embodiments include a system having a buoyant barrier gate that is movable between a closed position and an open position. An actuator moves the gate between the open and closed positions, and a sensor is operably connected to the actuator to generate data relating to a position of the barrier gate between the open and closed positions. A processor receives the data from the sensor and processes the data to move the gate between the open and closed positions, and detect the position of the gate. A human-machine interface is operably connected to the processor for communicating the detected position of the barrier gate to a user.

Ground mounting assembly

A ground mounting assembly includes one or a plurality of posts, each attached to at least one stabilizing plate or scoop pyramid. The post may be driven into the ground and then lifted to deploy plates into a locking mechanism, or driven into the ground by a pile driver with plate held in place, released, and driven further and deployed into a locking mechanism, or driven into the ground and double pounded inside the post to drive reinforcing plate into slotted winglets, or driven, double pounded and rotated to extend the reinforcing plates horizontally from the pole or pile. The post also can used as a mooring in harbors, lakes, or at sea. A system based on a double pounder pile driven mono pole, optionally extendable in length, is also described.

Device for supplying a consumer
12015223 · 2024-06-18 · ·

The invention relates to a device (1) for supplying a consumer, the position of which initially cannot be exactly determined but later can be substantially stationarily fixed, with energy from a stationary supplier. The device includes a movable carriage or slide (2) connected to an arm (3). The arm (3) is movable between a first position (7) and a second position (8) and the arm (3) includes at least one plug part (4) for connection to an energy supply line (5) of the consumer. The plug part (4) is connected to the supplier by means of an energy supply line (6). A cover part (9), which is movable with the movement of the arm, is arranged on the arm (3). In the first position (7) of the arm (3), the cover part at least partially covers the plug part (4), and in the second position (8) of the arm (3), the cover part exposes the plug part (4) for connection to the energy supply line (5) of the consumer.

Floating Barrier System

A floating barrier system has a plurality of connected floating barrier units. Capture net segments are positioned on the floating barrier units by support post members, forming a barrier to vessel passage. Lanyards attach the ends of the capture net segments to the floating barrier units. Upon a vessel striking the capture net segments with sufficient force, the capture nets detach from the support post members and/or pull the support post members over, and the forces from the vessel are transferred via the lanyards to the floating barrier unit. The vessel is prevented from fully passing over the floating barrier unit, thus itself forming a barrier to passage by other vessels.

Self-adjusting drive-on floating dock
10300996 · 2019-05-28 · ·

A self-adjusting, drive-on, floating dock for personal watercraft including a central float having a plurality of central float rollers to support the keel or bottom of the hull of a personal watercraft; and a plurality of side floats with attached side float arms having attached side float rollers that support the sides of the hull of a personal watercraft; and in which at least one of the side floats is attached to the central float in such a manner to allow it to float independently of the center float, but is restrained from drifting away from said central float; and the independent buoyant forces created by both the central float and the plurality of side floats together support the hull of a personal watercraft.

MARINE BARRIER SYSTEMS

A marine barrier system is provided with two elongate buoyant members, a net support member between and above the two buoyant members, an elongate load bearing member spaced from and between the buoyant members, and a lower ballast member between the two buoyant members and below the buoyant members. Stanchions extend between the members to support them and maintain the spacing between them. An impact net is attached to the net support member and the load bearing member. When a moving vessel impacts the impact net, the net deflects to transfer a force of the impact to the net support member, the stanchions, the load bearing member and the buoyant members, which engage the water to transfer the impact force to the water and arrest the motion of the vessel. The ballast member provides a force to restore the barrier to an upright position when the barrier rotates from vertical.
