FOUNDATION ENGINEERING METHOD AND CONSTRUCTION APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING A COLUMNAR STRUCTURE IN THE GROUND
The invention relates to a foundation engineering method and a construction apparatus for producing a columnar structure in the ground, in which a foundation engineering tool is driven in a rotating manner about an axis of rotation and introduced with a feeding motion into a ground, wherein the columnar structure is produced in the ground. According to the invention it is provided that during the production of the columnar structure a rotating motion and a feeding motion of the foundation engineering tool are recorded over time and forwarded to an evaluation unit, in that by means of a sensor means at least one further processing parameter is recorded over time during the production of the columnar structure in the ground and is forwarded to the evaluation unit and in that by the evaluation unit a three-dimensional model of the columnar structure is produced and displayed.

Anti-collapse jet grouting drill bit with bi-directional rib wings, grouting consolidation system and method
An anti-collapse grouting consolidation system including: a grouting pump; an outer flat drill rod; a drill rig that clamps the outer flat drill rod; a sealing device, sheathed on the outer flat drill rod at the orifice of a drill hole, ensuring the outer flat drill rod is sealed with the orifice of the drill hole; and a jet grouting drill bit with bi-directional rib wings. The grouting pump jets slurry into the drill hole in a static osmotic manner through the jet grouting drill bit. A method of using an anti-collapse grouting consolidation system includes, among other things, injecting quick-setting slurry; sealing an orifice hole of the drill hole by an orifice sealing device; and keeping an anti-collapse jet grouting drill bit with bi-directional rib wings repeatedly moving up and down and rotating at a repair segment to repair the repair segment.

Soil-like material and method of making a barrier for containing waste
The invention relates to a low-permeability geotechnical barrier material including a blend of approximately equal parts of: aggregate particles, sand-size particles and manufactured composite particles that include a hydratable sealant material composed of naturally-occurring clay minerals and/or polymer-enhanced clay minerals, such that the actual percentage of clay mineral component is less than 10% by weight in the blended material. In a particular embodiment, the construction of a low-permeability geotechnical barrier using predominantly coarse grain materials by conventional compaction efforts is rarely attempted due to the difficulty of maintaining a uniform mix of well-graded sand and aggregate blends necessary to achieve low permeability. The regularly achievable permeability offered by this material blend when installed with specific proscribed techniques using conventional equipment can be 5×10.sup.−8 cm/sec or lower.
Method and device for freezing a mass of soil
A method for freezing and treating a mass of soil, making it possible to compensate for deformations of the mass of soil during thawing, including the following steps: a) producing at least one bore (2) in the mass of soil, b) at least partly freezing the mass of soil using a freezing fluid injected into the bore, and then c) injecting a compensation grouting into the mass of soil, using the bore (2) that was used for freezing, during the thawing phase in order to at least partly compensate for variations in the volume of the mass of soil when the latter thaws.

Method to provide pressed and aggregate filled concavities for improving ground stiffness and uniformity
Systems and methods to provide pressed aggregate-filled cavities for improving ground stiffness and uniformity are disclosed. According to an aspect, a method includes using a mechanism to press into a ground surface in a substantially downward direction to create a concavity. The method also includes substantially or completely filling the concavity with unstabilized or chemically stabilized aggregate, soil, or sand. Further, the method includes using the mechanism to press the aggregate within the concavity to achieve a desired ground stiffness.

Method for correcting concrete slab tilting on subsided ground
A method for correcting the tilt of adjacent concrete slabs on subsided ground and connected at a joint part by tie bars or dowel bars caused by the subsidence of the joint part. The method comprises pushing up a tilted concrete slab by: drilling an injection hole for injecting an expandable resin in one concrete slab at a point 10 to 200 cm away from the joint part and also in the other concrete slab at a point 10 to 200 cm away from the joint part, the point in the other concrete slab being on a line that is orthogonal to the joint part and has the point in the one concrete slab thereon; and simultaneously starting an operation of intermittently injecting an expandable resin from both of the injection holes wherein the expandable resin expands below both of the concrete slabs.
