SUCTION PILE EQUIPMENT
20200071899 · 2020-03-05 ·

Disclosed embodiments include a suction pile vent plug having a cylindrically-shaped body having a sealing element, a plurality of coupling features, and a handle connected to the cylindrically-shaped body. The sealing element is configured to form a watertight seal with walls of a suction pile vent into which the vent plug is installed. The plurality of coupling features are configured to engage with corresponding coupling features of the suction pile vent. The movable handle is configured to be moved into one or more locked configurations. Disclosed embodiments further include a suction pile vent having a hollow cylindrically-shaped body having coupling features. The coupling features are configured to engage with corresponding coupling features of a suction pile vent plug to thereby mechanically couple the suction pile vent plug to the suction pile vent. Disclosed embodiments further include a fluidic port that fluidically couples a suction pile to a removable fluidic coupling.

Reducing Trenching at Mooring Lines

The present techniques are directed to systems and a method for reducing trenching around piles. An exemplary method includes attaching a mooring line to one end of a padeye extender bar that is coupled by another end to a padeye on the pile. The pile is installed in a sediment layer. The padeye extender bar is deployed to hold an attachment point for the mooring line above the sedimenlt layer.

Bolting adapter mechanism for sonic pile driving

A sonic pile driving adapter is configured to couple a drill head to a member to be pile driven. The adapter includes an upper attachment portion for selectively attaching to the drill head and a lower mounting portion. The lower mounting portion has first and second side plates configured to be inserted into the member. The first and second side plates include a first plurality of through holes corresponding to a second plurality of through holes provided on the member. The adapter also includes a plurality of brackets with a third plurality of through holes. A plurality of fasteners extends through the first, second and third pluralities of through holes, thereby coupling the sonic pile driving adapter and the drill head to the member. The adapter and method of use allow for efficient transfer of oscillating energy to the member and more effective pile driving.

FOUNDATION INTEGRAL CONSTRUCTION COMPONENTS AND SUPPORT SYSTEMS
20200048856 · 2020-02-13 ·

Foundation integral construction components and support systems where multiple pile foundation components are incorporated into a structure system that is connected to, or otherwise part of the foundation, can further reduce the need for excavation and thus preserve existing contours and drainage properties of the land. These multiple pile foundation systems, are applicable to a wide variety of site and soil conditions and a wide variety of surface structures or buildings. The multiple pile foundation system can reduce the need for site excavation, drainage control, and soil backfill by transferring load from a portion of a structure to the ground.

Pole shield

The present disclosure relates to a pole shield for extending around a pole structure. The pole shield comprises a sheet of composite material forming a hollow structure having an open first end and an opposed open second end. The sheet of composite material comprises from about 0% to about 80% by weight of a reinforcement impregnated with about 20% to about 50% of a polyurethane resin composition comprising a combination of a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component. Two or more pole shields may be stacked one on top of the other to form a pole shield structure which extends the height of protection of the pole structure. The pole shield can be used for protecting a pole structure from damage, such as from fire, rain, wind, sand, ice, pests, moisture or electrical. The pole shield may also be used to provide structural support to a pole structure.

LIGHTED PILING CAP
20200018455 · 2020-01-16 ·

A lighted piling cap that is preferably solar powered and which serves as a cap/marker for another water borne or water related structure. The device can serve as a nighttime marker to alert boaters of decks, docks, waterway obstructions, etc. that may not be visible during nighttime travels. The device includes a solar powered lighting element for nighttime visibility which can be a plurality of LED light bulbs. The outer enclosure can be constructed from a rugged and/or seaworthy material, to allow it to be able to preferably withstand the harsh environment of fresh and saltwater coastlines. The device preferably includes a sealed Lithium polymer battery, with flash, strobing and/or on modes and an automatic sunset on, sunrise off sensor. The angled top member of the enclosure can be provided with a plurality of facet cuts which provide for prismatic reflection of sun rays for solar collection 180 degrees across the horizon.
