An apparatus (100) to trace pile set during pile driving comprises a panel (110) for attachment to a pile (150); a holding mechanism (120) to hold a writing instrument (160) against the panel (110) to trace the pile set for series of blows during the pile driving; a sliding mechanism (130) to provide lateral movement across the panel (110) for the holding mechanism (120) after each blow during the pile driving; and a platform (140) to allow the sliding mechanism (130) to slide freely in horizontal direction.

Foundation for a tower of a wind-turbine

Foundation for a tower of a wind turbine with at least three columns. The foundation includes a reinforced concrete pile corresponding to each of the tower columns. According to one embodiment the pile includes a bolt cage and a main reinforcement formed by a cylindrical framework made up of horizontal rings interconnected by vertical bars. The bolt cage is arranged inside the main reinforcement radially at a distance of less than 0.1 meters. Each of the piles resides in a hole formed in the ground. Concrete is not poured into the holes until the main reinforcements and bolt cages are placed therein and aligned with one another.

Open end friction pile

The Open End Friction Pile comprises of four steel plates, four brackets, and one driving head. The steel plates have a first bend line and a second bend line that are equidistant from a distal end. The first bend line and second bend line of the steel plates are equidistant from each other creating a center portion. The brackets have a first bend line and a second bend line that are equidistant from a distal end. The first bend line and second bend line of the brackets are equidistant from each other creating a center portion. The bracket has a third bend line along the center portion. One bracket is connected to one steel plate along the distal ends and center portion. All four steel plates and four brackets concurrently connect along the distal ends to form two open-ends. A driving head is connected covering the top open-end.

Lighted piling cap
10989379 · 2021-04-27 ·

A lighted piling cap that is preferably solar powered and which serves as a cap/marker for another water borne or water related structure. The device can serve as a nighttime marker to alert boaters of decks, docks, waterway obstructions, etc. that may not be visible during nighttime travels. The device includes a solar powered lighting element for nighttime visibility which can be a plurality of LED light bulbs. The outer enclosure can be constructed from a rugged and/or seaworthy material, to allow it to be able to preferably withstand the harsh environment of fresh and saltwater coastlines. The device preferably includes a sealed Lithium polymer battery, with flash, strobing and/or “on” modes and an automatic sunset on, sunrise off sensor. The angled top member of the enclosure can be provided with a plurality of facet cuts which provide for prismatic reflection of sun rays for solar collection 180 degrees across the horizon.

Controlling backflow from drilling with hollow rebar and grouting
10988906 · 2021-04-27 ·

Backflow during installation of a ground anchor is controlled using a preventer, and the preventer is removed during curing of grout and backflow. A cylinder may be inserted at least partially into a structure, and the preventer placed or attached atop the cylinder. A hollow bar may be extended through the preventer and cylinder into one or more layers of materials beyond the cylinder. Grout may be delivered to the layer(s) through the hollow bar, which may cause a viscous backflow to flow into the cylinder and preventer. During application of the grout, the preventer may be used to control a rate of backflow. After application of the grout, the preventer may put into an open position, and a seal assembly forced down the hollow bar, through an interior cavity of the preventer, to a position below the preventer, after which the preventer may be removed while the grout and backflow cure.
