Anchoring device for self-propelled irrigation system
09974246 · 2018-05-22 · ·

An anchoring device for a self-propelled irrigation system includes a drive assembly that drives a soil auger into the ground to anchor a drive tower of the irrigation system. The soil auger is rotatably driven about a vertical axis and movable vertically relative to the drive tower. The soil auger includes a lower tip, a multi-sided head at an upper end, and a helical screw portion between the lower tip and the upper end. The drive assembly includes a sleeve member with an inner surface that mates with the head of the soil auger and allows the soil auger to slide within the sleeve member while rotating together with the sleeve member. A bit cleaner assembly is arranged to engage the helical screw portion of the soil auger to clean soil from the auger and to cause the auger to move vertically relative to the sleeve member upon rotation.

A stake assembly provides an earth anchor and includes a stake having a longitudinal axis and an upper portion and a lower portion. The stake is attached to a cup having a sidewall defining a closed perimeter and a top wall substantially closing the sidewall, the sidewall having an open bottom end. The stake passes through the top wall with the upper portion above the top wall and the lower portion below the top wall. When the stake is pounded or screwed into the ground the cup captures soil which adds resistance to the stake being removed from the ground. One embodiment has the cup at an oblique angle to the top wall.

Anchoring and stabilizing device for manufactured homes

An augerable ground anchor having: a) a shaft having a first end and a distal second end; b) an augering means affixed about said shaft adjacent to said first end; c) a ground contact plate affixed to said shaft proximate to said second end; d) a first anchor means affixed to said contact plate for securing a manufactured home sidewall strap to said ground anchor, said first anchor means being centrally positioned and having a first longitudinal axis and; e) a second anchor means for securing a stabilizing strut to said ground anchor, the second anchoring means being affixed to the contact plate outboard from the first anchor means and having a second longitudinal axis, wherein the first and second longitudinal axis are at a first acute angle . An anchoring and stabilizing assembly is further described that further includes a stabilizing plate adjacent to and in contact with the shaft.

A bracing apparatus, system, and method for the installation of sub-surface utility anchors as used for utility poles, and other infrastructure which requires a sub-surface foundational element is disclosed. The bracing apparatus may be configured to interconnect to a mounting flange or mounting surface of a utility anchor, wherein the bracing apparatus allows the lifting of a utility anchor from a horizontal orientation to a suspended vertical orientation for placing the utility anchor vertically into a hole prepared for the installation of the utility anchor. The bracing apparatus comprises a leveling means wherein the bracing apparatus resides above grade and the leveling means bears on the surrounding ground surface, is adapted to raise or lower the utility anchor in relation to the grade level, and is adapted to achieve a level configuration of the mounting flange or mounting surface of the utility anchor and thus achieve a plumb or near-plumb orientation of an above-ground infrastructure mounted to the utility anchor.

Root key type pressure bearing mechanism in anchor hole, root key type anchor cable and anchor hole grouting method

The present invention discloses a root key type pressure bearing mechanism in an anchor hole, a root key type anchor cable and an anchor hole grouting method. The pressure bearing mechanism includes a carrier, root keys and a tapered plug, a through hole is formed in the center of the tapered plug, a taper hole is formed in the center of the carrier, key holes are formed along a radial direction of the carrier with an inner wall of the taper hole as a starting point, the number of the key holes is the same as that of the root keys, the root keys and the key holes constitute sliding pairs, an outer wall of the tapered plug is adapted to the taper hole, the sum of the length of the root key and the radius of a position corresponding to the tapered plug is larger than the radius of the anchor hole, and the length of the root key is less than the radius of the anchor hole; and when the tapered plug is plugged into the taper hole, the head of the root key stretches into a rock mass of the anchor hole. The pressure bearing mechanism assembled by the assembly method is applied to the anchor cable, and when the anchor cable is used for grouting, the anchoring effect of the anchor cable can be effectively improved.

HIGH-STRENGTH FASTENING DEVICE

The invention relates to a fastening device for fastening at least one mounting element to a threaded bolt, including a nut having a threaded bore and a clamping element that interacts with the nut and has an opening. The nut has a conical supporting region on the outside. In the mounted state, the nut engages at least partly in the opening of the clamping element and rests on a complimentary inner cone which the clamping element has. The nut has at least one slot which interrupts the nut wall over a sub region of the axial extent of the latter. The at least one slot opens at the axial end of the nut which is located closer to the larger diameter than to the smaller diameter of the conical supporting region is designated as the top end. The clamping element can be screwed into a mounting element.
