Vertical manhole apparatus and method for providing access to leachate collection pipes in a landfill
A vertical manhole apparatus for use in a waste facility to provide access to one or more leachate collection pipe access points. The vertical manhole is stabilized using stabilizing features extending out from a vertical pipe of the vertical manhole apparatus.
Single side fastening system for identification placard for utility vault lids
A fastener for attaching an identification placard having a post to a lid for a utility vault from a single side of the lid, the fastener includes a body portion for positioning within a hole in the lid, the fastener having tabs for retaining the fastener to the lid and lobes for preventing over insertion of the fastener into the hole in the lid and a bore extending through or partially through the body portion for receipt of and friction retention and/or mechanical interlocking of the post of the identification placard.
System for sealing a manhole riser ring assembly
A system and method are disclosed for sealing an annular manhole riser ring assembly. A generally flat, bendable liner includes a flat strip that is generally conformably engageable with an interior circumferential surface of the riser ring assembly. An outer surface of the liner strip carries a plurality of spacer elements that form a void between the generally flat liner strip and the engaged inner circumferential surface of the riser ring assembly. An expandable tensioning device is operated to press the riser ring assembly against the circumferential surface of the riser ring assembly. A flexible bonding substance is introduced into the void and allowed to set to seal the riser ring assembly.
DEVICE FOR SECURING A RUNG IN A CONCRETE WALL
A device has two anchor sleeves (3) in a concrete wall (2) accommodating two parallel anchor bolts (6) of a U-shaped step iron (1) form-fittingly. Between coupling parts formed by the anchor sleeves (3) and the anchor bolts (6), a detent assembly (7) has at least one detent tongue (8) sprung in the radial direction on one of the coupling parts (3, 6) and a detent recess (9) that receives the detent tongue (8) on the other coupling part (6, 3). A guide surface (15) for the detent tongue (8) is inclined in the peripheral direction and extends in the radial direction over the engagement depth of the detent tongue (8) adjoining the detent recess (9) at least in a peripheral direction.
Manhole Assembly
A manhole assembly including a base, riser, and cap. The base having an upper surface forming a bench, a bottom surface, and a radially outward surface with penetrations there through; and a radial spigot in the radially outward upper edge of the base. The base having a corrosive-resistant layer covering the channels, bench, and radial spigot. Also disclosed is a riser comprised of a corrosive-resistant polymer pipe having a radially outward surface, an inner surface and a bottom surface in contact with, supported by, and sealed to the radial spigot. The cap having a radial spigot, and access hole; the radial spigot in the radially outward bottom edge of the cap resting upon and sealed to an upper edge of the riser. The radially outward surface of the cap and base are aligned with the radially outward surface of the riser.
Meter pit and method of manufacturing the same
A pit defining an opening and having a footing. Cutouts are located in the footing and are created in mold to avoid secondary cutting operations. The wall of the pit above the footing is narrower than the footing and includes ribs extending from the wall for added compressive resistance. The ribs may vary in size both in length and extension into the center of the pit.

Systems and methods for rehabilitating, repairing, and replacing manholes and connected sewer lines
The present invention is a method for rehabilitating, repairing, and replacing manholes and connected sewer lines. In some embodiments, a compressed liner is inserted through the manhole access hole or the connected sewer lines. Prior to insertion, the liner may be cut and/or folded to be compressed to a size that can fit through the manhole opening or the sewer lines. Once inserted in the manhole or sewer lines, the liner should be expanded, and if necessary, bonded together with a resin along the separation line. Next, a bonding material may be injected between the liner and a surface of the manhole or sewer line to seal any cracks or fissures in the brick or concrete wall and to seal the liner against the existing manhole or sewer line to improve structural integrity and longevity. A new corbel may then be installed and bonded to the liner.
SMART SYSTEM FOR MANHOLE EVENT SUPPRESSION SYSTEM
A system including a processor and sensor for installation inside an underground vault. The sensor monitors a parameter inside the vault and sends a monitoring signal to the processor. Based on the monitoring signal, the processor may provide data to a memory for storage and/or control signals to an interface for transmission to an external device located within the vault. The control signals instruct the external device to modify the environment inside the vault. The sensor may be positioned inside an enclosure, which is inside a housing. An air moving device moves air into or out of the enclosure thereby drawing air from the vault into the enclosure before the sensor monitors the parameter. A heat generating component may be positioned inside the housing and when generating heat prevents moisture from condensing therein. The system may include a power unit that draws power from a power source inside the vault.
