DUAL CHANNEL DRAINAGE SEAL FOR CHANNELING WATER SEEPAGE AND MITIGATING RADON GAS ADMITTANCE IN A BASEMENT OR SUBTERRANEAN AREA
A dual channel drainage seal for enclosing a joint between a slab and a foundation sidewall of a subterranean area. The drainage seal includes and lower channel and an upper channel stacked over the lower channel. The lower channel is affixed on top of the slab and against the sidewall to form and enclosed channel for retaining and routing radon and/or water seepage at the joint to a sump pit. The upper channel is open on top and configured to capture and route water seepage from the sidewall above to the sump for discharge, thereby protecting the interior portions of the slab from radon and water damage.
Sump overflow protector
A sump overflow protection system for use in a building having a floor and a drainage field for collecting water from the perimeter of the building. The sump overflow protection system includes a portion of the floor proximal an opening of a sump crock having a first level defining a base and wherein the rest of the bottom floor generally has a second level higher than the first level of the basin surface of the floor and communicates water overflowing the sump crock to an outlet coupled to a building drainage outlet separate from the sump crock and to be located in the basin surface of the floor and spaced a predetermined distance from the sump crock.

Multiple friction joint pile system
Disclosed is a multiple friction joint pile connection construction system to construct: shallow and deep foundations for structures, tie beam construction between footings, passive piles to prevent slope failures beam on elastic foundation, pile cap and tie beam in the construction of pile groups, load transfer platforms isolated (not connected) from the upper structure, retaining structure when constructed with vertical and horizontal orientation, vertical and horizontal drain when perforated blocks are used, landing pier, quay wall and platform construction for coastal and harbor structures, by anchoring to the upper section of the existing bored piles, by anchoring to the upper sections of the columns of the upper structure, in railroad tie manufacture, in transportation structures and in all kinds of similar geotechnical applications.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROTECTING A FOUNDATION WALL AGAINST EXTERIOR ENVIRONMENT
A system and method for protecting a foundation wall having an external side surface facing towards a soil and sitting on a top surface of a footing. The system includes a solid joint, adapted to be located adjacent and along an intersection of the side and top surfaces, that entirely and sealably covers the intersection and a lower portion of the side surface adjacent the intersection and at least a proximal portion of an external ledge of the top surface adjacent the intersection. The joint defines a free surface angled relative to both the external side surface and the top surface. In a cross section of the joint, the free surface, the lower portion and the at least a proximal portion form a triangular shape. A heating device extends along the joint and inside the triangular shape to selectively dissipate heat into the joint.

MAINTAINING WATER BARRIER ABOVE RISING WATER
An arrangement for causing a water impermeable barrier conventionally lain on a ground surface to float above rising water or flooding, rather than being entrapped above the barrier, is shown and described. This invention applies particularly to ground coverings in building crawl spaces. In an embodiment, one or more floats are placed below the water impermeable barrier and above the ground. When flood waters recede, the float(s) and the water impermeable barrier return to their preflood locations above the ground surface. Floats may comprise blocks, sheets, strips, and other configurations of closed cell polymeric foam, for example. The float or floats may be coupled to the water impermeable barrier or alternatively, may be left decoupled therefrom.
Composite drainboard for blindside application, and foundation assembly
A composite drainboard includes a patterned substrate core having an inward surface, and opposed outward facing surface. The substrate core comprises a plurality of projections, forming concavities on the inward surface. A first geotextile membrane is attached to the substrate core and covers the outward facing surface. A second membrane is attached to the substrate core to cover the inward facing surface and the concavities to provide a substantially smooth coating to the inward surface. The second membrane at least partially absorbs a liquid applied waterproofing.
