Wall brace system and method
A wall brace system for providing an apparatus for supporting a wall in a building structure, which has been moved inward by pressure from the earth outside in order to return the wall to a desired position. The wall brace system has a structural member, a retainer, a mounting assembly, a load member, a jack, and/or a locking member. A jack and/or locking member are operatively coupled between the structural member and the mounting assembly. The jack functions to exert a force against the structural member, directly or through the load member, in order to force the structural member toward the wall for shifting the wall (e.g., outwardly). The locking member functions to lock the structural member in place with respect to the mounting assembly after the jack positions the structural member. Thereafter, the jack is removed from the mounting assembly.

BELOW GRADE, BLIND SIDE, WATERPROOFING SHEET MEMBRANE WITH ADHESIVE AND HAVING IMPROVED LOW REFLECTIVITY GRANULAR PARTICLE LAYER TO FULLY BOND TO CONCRETE/SHOTCRETE, AND A METHOD OF MAKING, AND USING SAME
The present invention relates generally to a below grade, blind side, waterproofing sheet membrane with adhesive and low reflectivity granular particle layer to fully bond to concrete/shotcrete, and a method of making, and using same. More particularly, the invention encompasses a below grade, blind side, waterproofing sheet membrane with adhesive, and having at least one layer of low reflectivity granular particle layer that are fully or partly embedded into the adhesive layer, and where the average reflectivity of the exposed granular particles is about 50 or below 55 percent reflectivity on a standard reflectivity scale. The inventive waterproofing layer having the waterproofing sheet membrane, and an adhesive layer having embedded therein low reflectivity granular particles can be used in any building or wall construction, and can be placed under or around a foundation of a building or dwelling or on its below grade blind side retaining walls, etc.
BELOW GRADE, BLIND SIDE, WATERPROOFING SHEET MEMBRANE WITH ADHESIVE AND HAVING MODERATE REFLECTIVITY GRANULAR PARTICLE LAYER TO FULLY BOND TO CONCRETE/SHOTCRETE, AND A METHOD OF MAKING, AND USING SAME
The present invention relates generally to a below grade, blind side, waterproofing sheet membrane with adhesive and moderate reflectivity granular particle layer to fully bond to concrete/shotcrete, and a method of making, and using same. More particularly, the invention encompasses a below grade, blind side, waterproofing sheet membrane with adhesive, and having at least one layer of moderate reflectivity granular particle layer that are fully or partly embedded into the adhesive layer, and where the average reflectivity of the exposed granular particles is below 55 percent reflectivity on a standard reflectivity scale. Self-repairing and self-sealing waterproof membrane, for insulating built structures subjected to hydrostatic pressure
A self-repairing and self-sealing waterproof membrane, for insulating built structures subjected to hydrostatic pressure, includes a first layer of hermetic polymeric material, which covers a second layer of water-expanding polymeric material, in which additives of polymeric and/or mineral origin are added, arranged in contact with the concrete surface of the structure. The second layer includes a plurality of sublayers which are contiguous and have different expanding actions and mechanical characteristics. The membrane has substantially the shape of a continuous flat sheet, which gives the membrane the appearance of a uniform film, having a thickness between 0.2 and 5.0 mm and being composed of one or more of the following polymers: TPE, TPO, TPU, EVA, EPDM, EPM, HDPE, MDPE, LDPE, PE, PVC and other elastomeric or polymeric polymers, containing optional additions of fillers and other ingredients to give the article the necessary requirements of workability, mechanical strength, and durability.

METHOD AND COMPOSITION FOR LIMITING PERMEABILITY OF A MATRIX TO LIMIT LIQUID AND GAS INFLOW
A method of limiting or reducing liquid and/or gas inflow through a porous matrix, comprising delivering to said porous matrix a coagulable polymer emulsion or colloid for contacting with at least one selected additive which interacts with said polymer emulsion or colloid to form a sealing barrier to reduce liquid and/or gas inflow through the porous matrix wherein said coagulable polymer emulsion or colloid contains at least one selected additive including one or a combination of radiation stabilisers to confer radiation resistance; and wherein said sealing barrier is formed by contacting said polymer emulsion or colloid with a further selected additive to cause coagulation of said polymer emulsion or colloid to form said sealing barrier. The sealing composition, which has low toxicity, preferably contains carbon black as radiation stabiliser conferring radiation resistance for the sealing barrier in the range 1 to 100 MRad.
