Provided is a ground reinforcement structure installed on a ground (10) in which a sandy soil layer (11) having a weak surface layer is provided and thus large-caliber excavation is difficult to be performed, the ground reinforcement structure including a ground reinforcement material (100) including: an expansion-type steel pipe (110) inserted to be installed in a small-caliber drilled portion (A) having a diameter of 51 mm to 61 mm and expanded by hydraulic pressure; and a settlement member (120) coupled to a rear end of the expansion-type steel pipe (110). Here, the expansion-type steel pipe (110) is inserted into the sandy soil layer (11), and the settlement member (120) is inserted into a rock layer (12). In this case, the settlement member (120) of the ground reinforcement structure according to the present invention is fixed to the rock layer (12), fixing force is excellent.
Soil-displacement drill and method for forming a smooth foundation pile with such a soil-displacement drill
The present disclosure relates to a soil displacement drill comprising a drill pipe; a widening at one end of the drill pipe that is provided with (1) a screw blade for screwing the drill into the substrate, and (2) an outlet opening for the passage of material that is introduced for forming the foundation pile; and a flap that is movable between a first position for allowing unhindered screwing of the drill into the substrate and a second position for preventing the material from entering a screw groove. The screw groove is formed in the substrate by the screw blade during unscrewing of the drill from the substrate. The disclosure further relates to a method for forming a smooth foundation pile using such a drill.

ALTERNATIVE PILE STRUCTURES
Piles and methods for installing them appear. An alternative pile has a lead section driven a depth below the soil surface, and then a reinforcing structure such as a rebar cage is placed above the lead section. Liquid grout is allowed to harden in contact with the reinforcing structure, thereby forming the pile. Reinforcing structure extending above the surface of the soil can tie in supported structure, such as pile caps, reinforced columns, and cmu columns, for example.

A belling auger includes a rotatable shaft, a main shaft extending through the rotatable shaft, a sliding sleeve mounted on the main shaft a bottom panel and a shovel rotatably attached to the rotatable shaft. Pressing the rotatable shaft down towards the sliding sleeve causes the shovel to hinge outward at the bottom of a piling hole. As the device rotates the shovel scoops dirt onto the pan, thus widening the bottom of the hole to a bell or cone shape.

A belling auger includes a rotatable shaft, a main shaft extending through the rotatable shaft, a sliding sleeve mounted on the main shaft a bottom panel and a shovel rotatably attached to the rotatable shaft. Pressing the rotatable shaft down towards the sliding sleeve causes the shovel to hinge outward at the bottom of a piling hole. As the device rotates the shovel scoops dirt onto the pan, thus widening the bottom of the hole to a bell or cone shape.
Lead Extension With Improved Assembly And Method Of Use
A soil displacement pile for forming a composite pile column is disclosed. The soil displacement pile includes a lead with at least one soil displacement assembly and one or more extensions with paddle assemblies. The soil displacement assemblies include upper and lower helical plates with soil displacement plates between them. The paddle assemblies include triangular paddles extending from opposing sides of the extension shaft at an angle relative to the vertical axis. The combination of soil displacement assemblies and paddle assemblies efficiently creates cavities in the soil for forming pile columns, allowing for larger diameter columns and improved load capacity.
