A construction device and method for a lateral bracing in an ultra-deep foundation pit with silt includes a first-layer lateral bracing member, a plurality of suspension rope systems and construction operation plates. The first-layer lateral bracing member is connected with the enclosing structure of the foundation pit. The suspension rope systems include saddles, slings and joists. The saddles are connected with the first-layer lateral bracing member, and the construction operation plates are connected with the joists.
COUPLER FOR HELICAL PILE AND TIEBACK SUPPORT SYSTEMS
A coupler for a helical pile system is described. The coupler includes at least two sections of square tube. A first section is nested within and affixed to the second section. The first section may further include an inner width by which the first section is configured to receive two pieces of rectangular bar stocks of a helical pile system. The at least two sections each include at least two pairs of aligned through holes, for receiving first and second bolts. By the first bolt and second bolts, the two pieces of rectangular bar stock may be coupled. The first section may thus transfer torsion between the two pieces of rectangular bar stock, such as when screwing the helical pile system into the earth. The second section of square tube may further improve the torsional capacity of the coupler.
Adjustable foundation support bracket
The present devices and methods provide an adjustable foundation support that rests upon the top end of a pier driven to load bearing strata, and is configured to receive a jack within the bracket of the adjustable foundation support to adjust the height of the foundation by the jack pushing down upon the pier through the pier cap and pushing upwards upon the bracket. The foundation can be adjusted by the adjustable foundation support to provide a level foundation, either alone or in cooperation with one or more additional adjustable foundation supports. Once foundation has been adjusted to the required height, the height adjustment lock is engaged to the pier cap to support the weight of the foundation through the bracket, to maintain the required height for the service life of the adjustable foundation support, with the ability to readjust the height, should that be required in the future.
PILE WITH POSITIVE STOP
A pile system for support structures includes at least two piles each having a first end, a second end, and a cylindrical elongate body. Each cylindrical elongate body has an inner surface and an outer surface, extends from the first end toward the second end, and defines an internal cavity with a longitudinal axis. Each pile further includes a transition region between the elongate body and the second end, the transition region including an annular seating shoulder disposed on the inner surface of the cylindrical elongate body that defines a step increase from a primary inner diameter to a secondary inner diameter. The first end of a first pile of the at least two piles is configured to be inserted into the second end of a second pile until a first distal edge thereof contacts the seating shoulder of the second pile.
LANDSCAPING WALL STRUCTURE AND FORM
The present invention provides an improved retaining wall system comprising a plurality of wall segments, said system comprising at least one lower wall segment and one upper wall segment, each of said upper and lower wall segments have a top surface, a bottom surface, a rear face, and a fascia, said top surface and said bottom surface extending between said rear face and said fascia, an earthen anchor extending at least partially through each of said wall segments and from said rear face, said earthen anchor configured for extending at least a portion of said vertical load of said retaining wall rearwardly; an interstitial surface; and an interconnecting structure extending into said interstitial surface and between said upper segment and said lower segment.
Method and kit for manufacturing foundations for uprights by using sheets embedded by vibration or by percussion
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing foundations for uprights (1) by using metal sheets (2) embedded by vibration or by percussion comprising the steps of: a. arranging at least two sheets (2), each sheet (2) being provided with position adjustment means with respect to a connection element (5) between the sheet (2) itself and a connector (3) between the sheet (2) and upright (1); b. arranging a connector (3) between the sheet (2) and upright (1), adapted to be integrally connected to said upright (1) and provided with position adjustment means with respect to a connection element (5) between the sheet (2) and the connector (3) itself; c. arranging at least one connection element (5) between each sheet (2) and the connector (3), each connection element (5) being provided with first position adjustment means, adapted to adjust the position thereof with respect to the sheet (2) and second position adjustment means, adapted to adjust the position thereof with respect to the connector (3); d. arranging a centering system (4) for the sheets (2), which can be associated operationally with an embedding machine; e. embedding said sheets (2) into the ground by vibro-embedding or by percussion, with the aid of the centering system (4); f. positioning the connector (3) in the design position, adjusting the relative position between: —each sheet (2) and each connection element (5) by means of said position adjustment means of the sheet (2) and said first position adjustment means of the connection element (5); —each connection element (5) and the connector (3) by means of said position adjustment means of the connector (3) and said second position adjustment means of the connection element (5); g. locking such positions. The present invention also relates to a corresponding kit and to a centering system for sheets 2 adapted to be vibro-embedded or embedded by percussion.
UNDERWATER CONCRETE BLOCK STRUCTURE AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
A constructing method of an underwater concrete block structure, includes: a first concrete block fabrication step, a guide pole installation step, a first concrete block installation step, a second concrete block fabrication step, a second concrete block installation step, a drainage step, a guide pole removal step, and a concrete column formation step. A concrete column and a first concrete block is firmly coupled to each other via a column rebar assembly.
PINNED BASE CONNECTION FOR A STRUCTURAL MEMBER
A pinned base connector affixing a structural member to a foundation at one or more levels of a construction. The pinned base connector includes a baseplate affixed to the foundation. A column support plate is affixed to the baseplate via a pivot block. The pivot block is affixed to the baseplate to allow rotation of the pivot block relative to the baseplate about a first axis. The column support plate is affixed to the pivot block to allow rotation of the column support plate relative to the pivot block about a second axis orthogonal to the first. A column or other structural member may then be affixed to a surface of the column support plate.
Building elements for making retaining walls, and systems and methods of using same
A building element for coupling with other building elements to erect a retaining wall. Exemplary building elements have receiving spaces for receiving increased weight of fill material to provide increased stability. Optionally, each building element can have an enlarged face profile that provides efficiency in the shipping and assembly process. Optionally, each building element can define alignment voids that receive portions of alignment posts for ensuring vertical alignment between adjacent building elements or portions of building elements.
