Comprehensive excavation process
Disclosed is a comprehensive excavation process performed on an excavation site. The process includes installing wellpoints for lowering the groundwater level within the excavation site and stabilizing the boundary soil walls of the excavation site by an improved soil nailing method. The improved soil nailing method employs casing pipes that are part of the wellpoint system as reinforcing elements for the stabilization of the soil walls.
Systems and methods to provide pressed and aggregate filled concavities for improving ground stiffness and uniformity
Systems and methods to provide pressed aggregate-filled cavities for improving ground stiffness and uniformity are disclosed. According to an aspect, a method includes using a mechanism to press into a ground surface in a substantially downward direction to create a concavity. The method also includes substantially or completely filling the concavity with unstabilized or chemically stabilized aggregate, soil, or sand. Further, the method includes using the mechanism to press the aggregate within the concavity to achieve a desired ground stiffness.
CEMENTITIOUS COMPOSITE MAT
A cementitious composite for in-situ hydration includes a structure layer having a first side and an opposing second side, a cementitious material disposed within the structure layer, a sealing layer disposed along and coupled to the first side of the structure layer, and a containment layer disposed along the opposing second side of the structure layer. The structure layer has an intersection at the sealing layer and the containment layer that is at least partially fiberless. The cementitious material includes a plurality of cementitious particles. The containment layer is configured to prevent the plurality of cementitious particles from migrating out of the structure layer.
FOUNDATION PILE FOR A WIND TURBINE
The invention relates to a foundation pile comprising a stabilization device that is located within the foundation pile and is connected to at least two inner surface sections of the foundation pile; the stabilization device allows compressive and/or tensile forces to be transmitted such that the stabilization device counteracts lateral deformation and/or torsional deformation of the foundation pile.
Geosynthetic Reinforced Wall Panels Comprising Soil Reinforcing Members
Geosynthetic reinforced wall panels including soil reinforcing members and retaining wall system formed therewith are disclosed. The geosynthetic reinforced wall panels include any type of wall panels, such as a precast concrete wall panels, that are supported by an arrangement of soil reinforcing members. Various configurations of soil reinforcing members may include end tabs and/or inner tabs that have strips arranged therebetween. Examples of soil reinforcing members include, but are not limited to narrow-width single-section reinforcing members, narrow-width multi-section reinforcing members, and wide-width reinforcing members. Further, a retaining wall system is provided that includes any arrangement of the one or more geosynthetic reinforced wall panels.
DRILLING MACHINE.
The invention relates to a drilling machine (10) for making an excavation in ground in a drilling direction that is substantially vertical, said drilling machine comprising: an anchor module (22) having at least one anchor element for preventing the anchor module from moving relative to the walls of the excavation in the drilling direction, the anchor module having a longitudinal direction that is substantially vertical; a drilling module (12) provided with cutter members, the drilling module being movable in translation relative to the anchor module in the drilling direction; and a movement device (50) arranged between the anchor module and the drilling module in order to move the drilling module in translation relative to the anchor module in the drilling direction.
The invention is characterized by the fact that the machine is suspended from a lift cable (70) that is fastened to the drilling module (12).
MACHINE AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING VERTICAL DRAINS IN THE GROUND
The invention relates to a machine for putting a drain into place in ground, machine comprising: a drive tube presenting a longitudinal axis and having a bottom end; a movement device for moving the drive tube in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis; a drain extending inside the drive tube and having a bottom end extending outside the drive tube; at least one anchor; a fastener device (70) for fastening the anchor to the drain; and a cutter member for cutting the drain (18) and arranged under the fastener device.
The machine of the invention further comprises a cutter device (60) for cutting the anchor from a strip (54).

LEVELING MAN-HOLE COVER SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A leveling man-hole cover system facilitates the top of a man-hole cover being flush with the surrounding surface of a street. The cover rests on a riser and prevents the entry of liquids to the man-hole with the aid of a seal. The riser has threads that attach with the threads of a base to allow for the height adjustment to the lid. The base sits on the top of a preexisting or common ring of a man-hole.
