OILS WITH ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITY CONTAINING NATURAL SPECIALIZED PRORESOLVING MEDIATORS AND THEIR PRECURSORS
The present invention encompasses oils that have anti-inflammatory or resolution-stimulating activity that contain or are enriched with Specialized Proresolving Mediators (SPM) or SPM precursors, which originate from an oil obtained from organisms containing long chain omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, such as fish, crustaceae, algae, and mollusks. The invention also encompasses a method for the production of these oils, and the utilization of the oils for nutritional supplements, pharmaceutical formulations, and cosmetic formulations, which can be employed for treating an inflammatory condition.
ENCAPSULATED NUTRITIONAL AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS
Provided herein are encapsulated compositions comprising one or more long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCPUFAs) and at least one hydrocolloid, wherein the composition has a surface free fat content of less than about 5%. Also provided are methods for stabilising emulsions comprising one or more LCPUFAs and for increasing the efficiency of encapsulation of compositions comprising one or more LCPUFAs, the methods comprising incorporating at least one hydrocolloid into the emulsions or compositions.

Capsules containing high doses of krill phospholipids
Oral capsules have been dismissed as a dosage form for delivery high dosages of krill phospholipids, but by purifying these to high levels it is indeed possible to use this dosage form to deliver, for example, 700 mg or more phospholipids per capsule.

Preparation and use of an extract of Artemia salina to treat the ocular surface
The present invention relates to the preparation of an extract of the crustacean Artemia salina and to the use thereof to treat diseases of the ocular surface. The invention describes the application of the extract mainly by means of soaps, eyedrops, eye solutions, eye washes, aerosols, in the presence of unguents, creams, gels or contact lenses, inter alia. The application of the Artemia salina extract is efficient for treating pathologies consistent with ocular dryness (dry eye) and the manifestations thereof such as the appearance of injuries or ulcers on the ocular surface or infections caused by microorganisms and associated with dry eye, also on of the ocular surface.

PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF ENRICHED PHOSPHOLIPID COMPOSITIONS
It is provided a process for generating enriched phospholipid compositions from raw krill oil, where such processes may be batchwise, continuous, of include both batchwise steps and continuous steps. The present technology provides high quality enriched phospholipid compositions from such methods. Moreover, the continuous process provides a significantly higher throughput compared to a batch process while concurrently providing products of equal or greater quality.
