Fire hydrant

A bearing system includes a first bearing, the first bearing being annular in shape and defining a ring aperture, the first bearing including a first surface and a second surface, a second bearing being substantially the same in construction to the first bearing, a first surface of the second bearing contacting a second surface of the first bearing, wherein each of the bearings is constructed of nylon MDS.

Break check valve for hydrant

A break check valve includes a valve body defining a mating surface and a valve inner cavity; a pivot pin positioned inside the valve inner cavity and secured to the valve body, an axis of the pivot pin offset in a radial direction with respect to a longitudinal axis of the valve body; and a valve member positioned within the valve inner cavity and configured to rotate about the pivot pin from an open position to a closed position of the valve, the valve member comprising a plate and an arm extending from the plate, the valve member configured to remain in the open position of the valve as long as a mating surface of a hydrant remains in contact with the mating surface of the valve body and configured to close when the mating surface of the hydrant is separated from the mating surface of the valve body.

Outdoor Fire Suppression Spray System (Sky Hydrant ), and application
20230146957 · 2023-05-11 ·

The current invention is a remotely controlled fire suppression system that pipes water directly from a water main to a water cannon. The water can be sprayed hundreds of feet from the cannon, which can change direction and angle of spray. The suppression system is attached to a water main, with an electric valve that allows control of pressure and flow rate. The water cannon is attached at the top of the water pipe, which can rise 3′-30′ or more above the ground. The water cannon can be fixed or change direction and angle. The water valve and water cannon are remotely controlled, by wired or wireless communication. Units are identified by GPS and address, allowing individual or government units to use devices at fire sites.

A METHOD FOR REMOTE ESTIMATION OF THE HYDRANT WATER PRESSURE AT A HYDRANT AND A HYDRANT WATER PRESSURE ESTIMATION SYSTEM
20230140627 · 2023-05-04 ·

A method and system for remote estimation of hydrant water pressure at a hydrant located at an end of a branch pipe being branched of a main pipe, the method including detecting a valve open-close status of a stop valve arranged in the branch pipe and transmitting the valve open-close status wirelessly to an external data system, detecting a hydrant open-close status of the hydrant and transmitting the hydrant open-close status wirelessly to an external data system, detecting a branch water pressure of water in the branch pipe and transmitting the branch water pressure wirelessly to the external data system, and estimating the hydrant water pressure at the hydrant based on the valve open-close status, the hydrant open-close status and the branch water pressure.
