Building utility floodwater isolation system
Disclosed herein is a utility isolation system designed for residential, commercial and industrial usage. The system comprises a bidirectional valve connected to a sewer line which valve responds to a change in the level of a body of water. The system prevents high water levels from entering municipality's sewer infrastructure systems. The isolation system monitors levels of a body of water and also prevents releases from hazardous sewer waste entering rivers, lakes, and coastal waterways. The isolation system provides protections from waste water back flowing into homes and buildings, and causing electrical shorts, or natural gas releases, and blocks potable water lines from filling plumbing devices with open drains such as lavatories and toilets during a high water level event. The system can be remotely activated and monitored by a user, a government office, or service provider via SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) or like system. The isolation system's objective is to also promote development in low lying areas that were once denied. The system can also improve a municipality's compliance with EPA issues, and allows for service interrupts from government agencies due to, or for example, non-payment of services, evacuations, contamination of potable water supplies, fire, and or other disasters.

Systems and Methods for Flood Prevention and Pest Control
A comprehensive dry flood proofing system to mitigate inland flooding risk for existing or new homes and other buildings. The system leverages the home or building's structure to offer practical and affordable inland area flood protection for structures constructed with a slab on grade foundation. The system includes pluggable weep holes, entry door/garage door/window protectors, wall appurtenances and penetration protection, a house wrap and/or debris barrier for wall protection and sewage anti-backflow protection. The system is reusable, easy to deploy, does not detract from the home or building's permanent appearance, allows for ingress/egress during flood events and can protect the home or building from standing water up to 24 above slab elevation. The preparation and installation preflood, the deployment immediately preceding a flooding event and the subsequent removal after a flooding event can be provided by both contractors and homeowners.

SYSTEM FOR HOLDING AT LEAST ONE OBJECT TO BE HELD IN A SHAFT-TYPE BUILDING STRUCTURE
A system for holding at least one object to be held in a shaft-type building structure, comprising: a holding device, which in turn comprises at least a first holding device element having a holding portion for holding the holding device on a shaft-type building structure and at least a second holding device element having a second holding portion for holding the holding device on a shaft-type building structure. The at least second holding device element is movably mounted between a first operating position, in which the holding device can be or is held on a shaft-type building structure by means of the second holding device element, and a second operating position, in which the holding device cannot be or is not held on a shaft-type building structure by means of the second holding device element.
Flap gate drainage systems for coupling to a wall
Single-door flap gates and double-door flap gates are disclosed. A first flap gate includes a first door coupled with a first hinge, a second door coupled with a second hinge, wherein the first door and the second door together form a continuous concave surface, wherein the first hinge and the second hinge couple with a wall, and wherein, when in a closed position, the first door and the second door rest against the wall to cover an opening thereof. The opening may correspond to an end of a pipe that extends away from the first door and the second door. Further, the continuous concave surface may include a radius of curvature configured to be substantially similar to a radius of curvature of the wall, wherein the wall may be interior wall of a cylindrical structure.
Plug for servicing active pipe
A modular plug for installation into large diameter pipelines that provides a reliable and secure seal within the pipeline to be serviced thereby increasing the safety of the people working on the secured side of the plug. The plug is modular in construction and suited for easy installation within large pipelines. The plug is generally formed as a large circular plate formed from modular sections. Along the division lines the plug pieces include grooves and a gasket therein. Reinforcing jacks extend outwardly from the plug and exert pressure against the pipeline to retain the plug geometry and position. Also, around the periphery of the plug is shown an inflatable rubber seal.
