SEWER BYPASS SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20180275693 · 2018-09-27 ·

Disclosed herein, are gravity-based sewer bypass systems and related methods for diverting sewage fluid from an upstream sewer pit to a discharge site lower than the upstream sewer pit, via a pipe including an above-ground portion. A sensor external to the pipe is used to determine the sewage fluid level in the upstream sewer pit and accordingly regulate the outflow of sewage fluid at the discharge site.

FLOOD PREVENTION SYSTEM

PLUG FOR SERVICING ACTIVE PIPE
20180224045 · 2018-08-09 ·

A modular plug for installation into large diameter pipelines that provides a reliable and secure seal within the pipeline to be serviced thereby increasing the safety of the people working on the secured side of the plug. The plug is modular in construction and suited for easy installation within large pipelines. The plug is generally formed as a large circular plate formed from modular sections. Along the division lines the plug pieces include grooves and a gasket therein. Reinforcing jacks extend outwardly from the plug and exert pressure against the pipeline to retain the plug geometry and position. Also, around the periphery of the plug is shown an inflatable rubber seal.

Universal plug

Disclosed are various embodiments for a universal plug having an outer wall and an inner wall that surrounds an inner cavity along an axis of symmetry of the universal plug, the universal plug comprising a first plug tier having a first outer surface diameter that extends a first length along the axis of symmetry and a second plug tier having a second outer surface diameter that extends a second length along the axis of symmetry from the first plug tier; a compression shank situated in and extending through the inner cavity of the universal plug; a compression head attached to a distal end of the compression shank and having a larger diameter than the compression shank; a washer comprising an opening, the compression shank extending through the opening; and a threaded gasket cap comprising a threaded opening.

OPENING/CLOSING DEVICE

An opening/closing device according to the present invention includes a gate, a fall prevention unit, a support release unit, a first float, a floating prevention unit, a second float, and a floating prevention release unit. The gate receives a flow of fluid, and is able to fall down toward a downstream direction of the flow. The fall prevention unit supports the gate, thereby preventing the gate from falling down. The support release unit releases the support for the gate by the fall prevention unit. The first float is arranged on an upstream side of the gate, is arranged on one of the left side and the right side of the gate viewed from upstream, and is less in the specific gravity than the fluid. The floating prevention unit prevents the first float from floating.

Plumbing Control System With Distress Signal

Systems and arrangements for mitigating environmental damage caused by storm water carried pollution
20170183243 · 2017-06-29 ·

A pollution mitigation system is disclosed. The system can include a valve forming a passage the valve installable to form an orifice in a storm drain retention chamber that passes storm water into a conduit of a storm water management system. The valve having a stem connected to a closure member that can plug the orifice. The valve can have a spring loaded actuator that can move the closure member into a closed position. The system can also include a node such as a wireless sensor node or a mote that has sensors, a transceiver, an antenna, a microcontroller, memory, an energy source and at least one output to control movement of the closure member via the preloaded actuator. The node can have an output that provides the stimulus to the preloaded actuator to cause the preloaded actuator to move the closure member to a position that obstructs the passage in response to either the sensor or a transmission from a mobile telephone such as a cell phone or a smartphone.
