Systems and methods for identifying points of interest in pipes or drain lines
Systems and methods for identifying one or more points of interest in pipes or drain lines are described. Examples of points of interest include blockages caused by debris in the pipe or drain line. The systems are incorporated into drain cleaning machines. Also described are drain cleaning machines utilizing the systems.
Combined sewer overflow warning and prevention system
A monitoring and alert methodology ascertains conditions that may result in a combined sewer overflow (CSO) event. The method employs a semantic model of a combined sewer system that includes specification information describing the components of the combined sewer system. Sensors distributed throughout the components of the combined sewer system sense operating parameter information for those components. A monitoring and alerting (MA) information handling system (IHS) receives operating parameter information from the sensors. The MA IHS analyzes the operating parameter information received from the sensors together with the specification information in the semantic model of the combined sewer system to determine if a combined sewer overflow (CSO) event is possible. The MA IHS generates an alert to provide notification of a possible CSO event if the MA IHS determines that a CSO event is possible. In this manner, an operator may take early corrective action before a CSO event occurs.
FLOW IMAGING AND MONITORING FOR SYNCHRONIZED MANAGEMENT OF WIDE AREA DRAINAGE
A flow imaging and monitoring system for synchronized management of wide area drainage that includes an interposer for supporting monitoring and management equipment in a manhole, a module for illuminating water flowing in pipes at the base of the manhole, a module for monitoring responses to reflected light, a sealed and rechargeable battery pack, and a data analysis and management system to interpret data streams in real time. The interposer can be adjusted to fit the diameter of the manhole and can be adjusted to be placed under the manhole cover. The module for illuminating the flowing water can be adjusted to generate various frequencies. The support structures for the modules can be adjusted for varying pitch, roll and yaw with respect to the manhole. The data analysis and management system is supported by cloud computing.
AIRFLOW MONITOR FOR USE WTH A VACUUM POWERED SEWER SYSTEM
A vacuum sewer system including at least one home collection system, a central vacuum system coupled to the home collection system and a vacuum valve monitoring system coupled to the home collection system. The vacuum valve monitoring system has an airflow detector and an indicator operatively coupled to the airflow detector, the indicator being configured to emanate an indication that the airflow detector has detected an airflow.

METHOD FOR MONITORING A TREATMENT STRUCTURE FOR RAINWATER, AND TREATMENT STRUCTURE FOR RAINWATER
A treatment structure for rainwater has at least one receiving vessel for rainwater and an outlet for discharging treated rainwater. A monitoring device for monitoring a need for maintenance of the treatment structure is provided. The monitoring device has at least one first sensor for detecting a fill level of rainwater in the vessel, at least one second sensor for detecting an amount of precipitation in a predetermined area surrounding the treatment structure, and at least one data processing unit in which parameter values from a group comprising a predetermined target fill level and a predetermined target rate of decrease of the fill level of rainwater in the vessel are stored. Here, the at least one first and the at least one second sensor are operatively coupled to the data processing unit via an electronic data line.
FLOOD PREVENTION SYSTEM
Provided herein are embodiments of a flood prevention system. The flood prevention system may include a water line, a sewer line, and at least one floating switch sensor. The water line and sewer line may be connected to a plumbing fixture. The floating switch sensor may be installed within the sewer line and be connected to a solenoid valve.
SEWER CLEANOUT CAP
A sewer cleanout cap includes: a body portion configured to be disposed on a sewer drain cleanout; a window plug removably coupled to the body portion, the window plug configured to enable a user to check sewer drainage; at least one wireless identification tag disposed on at least one of the body portion, the window plug, or a site glass of the window plug, the at least one wireless identification tag configured to transmit a return signal when energized; and at least one clamp assembly coupled to the body portion and configured to releasably secure the body portion to the sewer drain cleanout.
MATERIAL REGULATING TRAP FOR SEWER CONNECTION
A method and system that operates to capture improper disposal materials prior to their entry to the municipal sewer system in order to the burdens of such improper disposals on the originator of the waste. A trap assembly captures improper disposal materials at their source so as to provide notice to the generator of such waste that such activity is prohibited and to provide a mechanism by which responsibility for such improper waste disposal can be correctly identified and assigned while including an animal screen at an outlet thereof to prevent ingress of animals.
