Modular deck apparatus
A deck apparatus for assembly with a pair of opposing brace frames interconnected by a pair opposing connector bases and a deck board top frame having a plurality of deck boards disposed thereon, the connector bases having opposing posts for being received in openings in a lower end of the opposing brace frames ends and the deck board top frame having posts for being received in an upper end of the opposing brace frames, and optionally attaching a stairs riser having a plurality of spaced-apart treads or a ramp riser for extending from a deck surface at a height to a vertically lower support surface.
DECK FRAMING SYSTEM
A deck framing system includes a perimeter support member that has a joist support wall and a web wall extending perpendicularly from the joist support wall and an overhang wall extending perpendicularly from the web wall. First and second joist support brackets include a joist support portion and a pair of attachment wings, where each one of the pair of attachment wings contacting the web wall of the perimeter support member. First and second joists each include a deck support wall and a lower wall. The deck support walls of the first and second joists are disposed between the overhang wall and the joist support portions, and the lower walls are disposed between the joist support portions and the joist support wall.
DECK BOARD FASTENERS AND METHODS
A clip for attaching decking. The clip includes a bottom and a removable top insert. The bottom is made of a first material. The top is made of a second material. The first material of the bottom is different than the second material of the top. The clip has a generally T shape in a side view with a central bore passing through the top member and the bottom member to receive a screw or other fastening member, and a plurality of apertures through the top surface of the bottom member that engage the top member. The body of the bottom member has a transverse planar upper member and at least one perpendicularly positioned planar lower member or keel. The deck board fastener can also have a lip that projects upward from the upper surface of the transverse planar member. The lip can be positioned about an exterior edge of the transverse planar member or along the upper surface.
HIDDEN FASTENER UNIT AND RELATED METHOD OF USE
A fastener unit and related method for securing a board to a support is provided. The fastener unit includes a spacer block, a grip element extending from the spacer block and configured to fit in and engage a groove of the board, and one or more board engagement elements extending from a portion of the spacer block. The board engagement elements can clamp the board, between an upper and/or lower surface of the board and a groove of the board, thereby securing the spacer block in a position adjacent the groove to establish a gap between the board and another board. Related methods of use also are provided.
Laser finishing design tool
A computer system of a finishing center, such as a mobile finishing center, includes a tool that allows a customer to preview or create new designs for apparel before purchase and before laser finishing. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. Based on a laser input file with a pattern, a laser will burn or ablate the pattern onto apparel. With the tool, the customer will be able to preview, create, make changes, and view images of a design, in real time, before purchase and burning or ablation by a laser. Input to the tool can include fabric template images, laser input files, and damage input. In an implementation, the customer or another user can also move, rotate, scale, and warp the image input.
DECKING SUPPORT SYSTEM
A decking support system including a plurality of decking support elements, each decking support element including a first decking support engagement feature and a second decking support engagement feature, a plurality of connection elements, each connection element including a first connection feature adapted to co-operate with said first decking support engagement feature of a decking support element, and a second connection feature adapted to co-operate with said second decking support engagement feature of a decking support element, the arrangement being such that a first of said plurality of decking support elements is engageable with a second of said plurality of decking support elements by means of one of said plurality of connection elements dependent on said respective co-operations.
Deck drainage systems
A deck drainage system includes a bracket, a locking bead, and a sheet. The bracket includes a first leg and an elongate receiver connected to an end portion of the leg. The elongate receiver defines a substantially round cross-sectional profile. The locking bead is an elongate member that defines a slit in an outer surface thereof for receiving the sheet. The locking bead is configured to be received in the receiver.
Apparatus For Converting Motion
An assembly for converting motion comprises a first arm and a second arm rotatable about first and second fixed pivots; a third arm pivotably connected to the second arm; a first connecting arm pivotably connected to and extending between the first arm and the third arm; a second connecting arm pivotably connected to and extending between the first arm and the second arm; and a locking assembly comprising a first locking member and a second locking member, the first locking member connected to one of the arms and engaging with the second locking member at one or more positions from the retracted position to the extended position. The assembly may comprise a guide assembly comprising a guide member and an engagement member moveably engageable with the guide member.
Heat-assisted recording head having sub wavelength mirror formed of first and second materials
A recording head has a near-field transducer proximate a media-facing surface of the recording head. The near-field transducer extends a first distance away from the media-facing surface. A waveguide overlaps and delivers light to the near-field transducer. Two subwavelength focusing mirrors are at an end of the waveguide proximate the media-facing surface. The subwavelength mirrors are on opposite crosstrack sides of the near-field transducer and separated from each other by a crosstrack gap. The subwavelength focusing mirrors each include a first material at the media-facing surface and a liner that covers an edge of the mirror.
Adjustable deck tension tie
An adjustable deck tie bracket includes a front plate having an opening. Legs are on opposite sides of the front plate. A deformation zone connects a brace member to the front plate. The deformation zone has less resistance to bending than the brace member to facilitate rotation of the front brace by deformation at the deformation zone. To connect a deck to a house, a connector can be inserted through the front plate and secured to an anchor in the house. The orientation of the brace member is adjusted so it so extends to the bottom of a deck joist, thereby allowing flexibility in the vertical spacing between the connector and the deck joist. The legs are secured to opposite sides of the deck joist and the brace member is secured to the deck joist at a location that is spaced farther from the house than the legs.
