Reinforced floor components of prefabricated bathroom pods. The floor components are reinforced and integrated into bathroom pods or other building units in such a manner as to add significant strength to the bathroom pods to resist bending, twisting and sagging, and/or to aid in lifting and supporting the weight of the bathroom pods, and thereby add to the structural integrity of the prefabricated bathroom pods to which they are attached.

A multi-story building (200) is described for manufactured homes (212) such as container homes. The building (200) includes a ground floor (202), a number of intermediate floors (204), and a top floor (206). The building (200) includes a throughway (208) on the ground floor (202) that allows passage of a transportation vehicle (210) such as a flatbed truck carrying a manufactured home (212). The transportation vehicle (210) can use the throughway (208) to position the manufactured home (212) in alignment with a hoistway (214). A hoist mounted on the roof (216) can then be used to hoist the home (212) to a desired floor (204 or 206).

A foldable building structure is provided that includes a fixed space portion including a first floor portion, a first ceiling portion, a first wall portion rigidly secured to the first floor portion and the first ceiling portion. The foldable building structure includes a second wall portion which is movable between a folded position and a deployed position, and a third wall portion which movable between a folded position and a deployed position. The second and third wall portions when in their deployed positions form with the first wall portion a first wall component of the foldable building structure. The second wall portion is capable of being moved between the folded position and the deployed position without moving the third wall portion between the folded position and the deployed position.

The invention is directed to a portable container system comprising a container which comprises a floor, four upwardly-extending sidewalls, wherein at least one of the sidewalls is hinged to allow the at least one sidewall to open outwardly, and a top wall. The system also comprises a plurality of skids contained within the container. Each skid comprises a base and one or more upwardly extending members; and one or more cabinets mounted on the base or one or more upwardly extending members, wherein the one or more cabinets comprise: control power distribution panel cabinets, human-machine interface cabinets, programmable logic controller-redundancy cabinets, network cabinets, or remote I/O cabinets.

A self-storage facility with a first set of load bearing modular units (LBMUs) aligned along a same first horizontal plane. The first set has a plurality of rows of LBMUs and each LBMU in each row in the plurality of rows of LBMUs is positioned in a side-to-side relationship with another LBMU in a corresponding row in the plurality of rows of LBMUs. Furth, each LBMU in each row in the plurality of rows of LBMUs is positioned in at least one end-to-end relationship with another LBMU in an adjacent row of a plurality of rows of LBMUs. The facility also includes a first passageway through both sidewalls and transverse to a major axis of each LBMU in a majority of the LBMUs in a first row in the plurality of rows of LBMUs, and a second passageway through both sidewalls and transverse to a major axis of each LBMU in a majority of the LBMUs in a second row in the plurality of rows of LBMUs.

A building structure and a kit comprising: a hollow shell; a plurality of exterior panel assemblies attached to an exterior surface of the shell, each panel assembly including: a mounting member extending outwardly from the shell, the mounting member having a first end secured to the shell and a second end located away from the shell; an exterior wall panel secured to the second end of the mounting member so as to be spaced from the shell. According to another aspect, there is also provided a building structure and a kit comprising: a hollow shell defining an interior enclosure sized and shaped to house at least one individual; a plurality of modular wall sections secured to the hollow shell inside the interior enclosure.

A connector assembly, which in one embodiment has an upper connector and in another embodiment has a lower connector. The assembly can have a gusset plate sandwiched between the upper and lower connectors.
