DEVICE FOR PROVIDING SUPPORT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF VAPOUR BARRIERS
A device for providing support for the installation of vapour barriers. The device comprises a main panel and a perpendicular panel. The device attaches onto and between framing members of a building construction and provides support for vapour barriers.
Expansion Joint Seal with Positioned Load Transfer Member
An expansion joint design for supporting transfer loads. The system includes an elongated core and at least one longitudinal load-transfer member which are bonded together.
MODULAR BUILDING SYSTEM
A manufactured building system is described. The building system can include modular components such as floor panels, roof panels, window walls, demising walls, utility walls, end walls, and/or corbel beams.
SELF-ADHERING DRAINAGE-PROMOTING WRAP
A self-adhering drainage-promoting wrap for a building structure includes an elongate, flexible strip of weather-resistive membrane having front and rear faces, a series of separate, spaced-apart, spacer elements bonded to the front face of the membrane and projecting therefrom to a predetermined height, and a layer of adhesive on the rear face of the membrane. Wall and roof assemblies including the self-adhering drainage-promoting wrap are also provided.
VAPOR PERMEABLE, WATER RESISTIVE, AIR BARRIER POLYESTER MEMBRANE HAVING A POLYACRYLIC COATING WITH POROUS PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE ADDED TO THE REAR SURFACE OF THE MEMBRANE
An ultra violet stable polyester membrane with a polyacrylic coating on one side and a coated pressure sensitive adhesive coating on its other side capable of allowing water vapor to pass through it. The pressure sensitive adhesive is formed of a copolymer comprising a backbone of n-butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, and vinyl acetate which is mixed with at least one surfactant and emulsified to produce air bubbles which form pores when the copolymer is set with about 80% to about 90% of the pore sizes ranging from about 200 microns to about 300 microns and being uniformly distributed to form a flow path through the pressure sensitive adhesive.
BELOW GRADE, BLIND SIDE, IMPROVED DUAL WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE ASSEMBLY INCORPORATING A BENTONITE SHEET WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE, AND A SHEET MEMBRANE WITH ADHESIVE TO FULLY BOND TO CONCRETE/SHOTCRETE, AND A METHOD OF MAKING, AND USING SAME
The present invention relates to a below grade, blind side, improved dual waterproofing membrane assembly incorporating a secondary membrane comprising of a bentonite sheet waterproofing layer, and a primary membrane comprising of a sheet membrane having an adhesive to fully bond to a concrete/shotcrete. The invention encompasses a dual layer or dual membrane system that acts as a barrier, and prevents, and blocks water and moisture, from passing from one side of the structure to the other side. The dual barrier layer system can be used along a wall, a floor, a ceiling, or along any structure which requires water or moisture proofing. The invention can be used between a concrete or shotcrete layer and the surrounding earth, such as, along an area that has a high water table, or a constant hydrostatic pressure, or high ground moisture, that may creep into a foundation or a wall.
Insulation-Retaining Sheet Having Integral Vapor-Retarding Membrane
The present disclosure relates generally to an insulation-retaining sheet, e.g., for blown-in insulation, that includes an integral vapor-retarding membrane. In one aspect, the disclosure provides an insulation-retaining sheet including a sheet of mesh having an air permeability of at least 200 cfm per square foot; and one or more strips of vapor-retarding membrane, the one or more strips of vapor-retarding membrane being laminated to the sheet of mesh, the first side edge each of the strips of vapor-retarding membrane extending to the first side edge of the sheet of mesh, the second side edge each of the strips of vapor-retarding membrane extending to the second side edge of the sheet of mesh, wherein the insulation-retaining sheet has a plurality of open zones extending laterally from the first side edge of the sheet of mesh to the second side edge of the sheet of mesh in which no vapor-retarding membrane is laminated to the mesh.
House wrap dispenser apparatus
A house wrap dispenser apparatus for use by a single user to use with a roll of house wrap in installation of house wrap on an exterior wall(s) of a stable structure. The house wrap dispenser apparatus includes a house wrap dispenser having a lower house wrap bracket operational with an upper house wrap bracket, a bag, removable fasteners, and a driver. In another embodiment, a water-resistive barrier wrap dispenser apparatus includes a water-resistive barrier wrap dispenser, a multiplicity of threaded dowels, removable fasteners, a bag, and a driver. In an embodiment, a house wrap dispenser apparatus kit, includes a house wrap dispenser apparatus carrying case to contain the house wrap dispenser apparatus. In an embodiment, a water-resistive barrier wrap dispenser apparatus kit includes a water-resistive barrier wrap dispenser apparatus carrying case to contain the water-resistive barrier wrap dispenser apparatus.
Air and water barrier article including inelastic porous layer
The air and water barrier article includes a polymer-coated inelastic porous layer including a water-vapor permeable polymeric coating disposed on at least one major surface of the inelastic porous layer and an adhesive disposed on a major surface of the polymer-coated inelastic porous layer. The inelastic porous layer can include at least one of surface-modified fibers or natural cellulose fibers. The polymer-coated inelastic porous layer can at least one of a water strike through time of not more than 180 seconds or an absorbance capacity of at least one-half gram per 116 square centimeters. The adhesive may be exposed, in contact with a release surface, or adhered to a surface of a building component. A method of applying the air and water barrier article to a surface of a building component is also disclosed.
House wrap and method of manufacture
A continuous, serpentine and intersecting pattern of filaments is provided on a surface of a house wrap membrane. Water drainage channels may be provided by depressions or viaducts formed at locations along filaments. The filaments may be formed using hot melt nozzles disposed on a member and translated transversely as the membrane is translated longitudinally beneath the nozzles.
