SELF-ADHERING DRAINAGE/VENTILATION BARRIER FOR BUILDINGS
A drainage/ventilation product is placed in a budding structure. The product includes: a weather barrier membrane faces away from the building structure; a drainage structure affixed to and co-extensive with the weather barrier membrane; a moisture resistant layer affixed to and co-extensive with the drainage structure; an adhesive layer, the adhesive layer is a plurality of adhesive strips and/or scatter coated over and co-extensive with the moisture resistant layer, the adhesive is a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) and has a pull adhesion in a range of about 10-21 psi, and covers about 40-95% of a surface of the moisture resistant layer; and a release layer releasably covers and is co-extensive with the adhesive layer. Whereby the moisture/ventilation product is placed on the building structure without mechanical fasteners. A method is also disclosed.
WATER-REPELLENT MEMBER, AND BUILDING MEMBER AND WET ROOM MEMBER USING SAME
A water-repellent member includes a matrix part including an inorganic substance including at least one of a metal oxide or a metal hydroxide, and a water-repellent resin present in a dispersed state inside the matrix part. The water-repellent member has a porosity of 20% or less in a section of the matrix part. A building member and a wet room member each include the water-repellent member.

Self-sealing fasteners, building panels, systems, and methods
Self-sealing fasteners and associated building panels, systems, and methods are provided. In one aspect, a fastener includes an elongated fastener body with an external surface extending between the first end and the second end, and a coating material disposed on at least a portion the external surface. In another aspect, a fastener includes an elongated fastener body with an external surface extending between the first end and the second end, and a polymer annulus surrounding at least a portion of the external surface of the of the elongated fastener body at or adjacent the head of the fastener.
PANEL FOR SHEATHING SYSTEM AND METHOD
The panel includes a water resistant barrier layer secured atop its outward facing surface. The water resistant barrier layer includes a skid resistant surface. The panels are made of lignocellulosic material. The water resistant and skid resistant surface may include indicia for aligning strips of tape or for aligning fasteners. A method for manufacturing the water resistant building panels is also disclosed and includes the steps of feeding paper onto a forming belt, depositing lignocellulosic material and the binding agent onto the forming belt so as to form a lignocellulosic mat, applying heat and pressure so as to impart the skid resistant surface on the paper, and cutting panels to predetermined sizes.
HOUSE WRAPPING DEVICE
A house wrapping device to connect to a wall of a building, the house wrapping device including a main body having an elongate shape, a wrap receiving rod perpendicularly disposed away from a first end of the main body with respect to a direction to receive a house wrap roll thereon and dispense a house wrap from the house wrap roll, and a wedge perpendicularly disposed away from a second end of the main body opposite to the first end with respect to the direction to removably connect the main body to the wall and prevent the main body from falling off the wall.
BUILDING BOARD WITH INTEGRAL VAPOR-PERMEABLE WATER-RESISTANT SHEET MEMBRANE
A building board having an integral vapor-permeable water-resistant barrier (WRB) sheet, and a process for making same, and a two-material layered laminate useful for making said building board, wherein the building board comprises in order, a WRB sheet, a polymer tie layer, and a board substrate bonded together in a face-to-face relationship, the polymer tie layer comprising of a thermally or high frequency activated fibrous web and having voids through the thickness of said layer such that the polymer tie layer has a moisture vapor transmission rate through said layer of at least equal to or greater than that of the WRB sheet, the polymer of the polymer tie layer having an elastic modulus (G′) greater than 1×10.sup.6 Pa at 20° C. and a softening temperature of greater than 122° F. (50 C), the softening temperature being the temperature at which the polymer elastic modulus (G′) drops below 30 percent of the elastic modulus (G′) of the polymer at 20° C.; and wherein the moisture vapor permeability through the building board is 5 perms or greater.
Modular building construction system and method
A building construction system of includes a prefinished exterior weather-tight insulating skin (panel), a cavity and structural zone where electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, data/audio systems can run freely and be modified, and a prefinished interior wall panel which is easily removable allowing access to the cavity and structural zone. The exterior and interior panels are mounted to structural components and create the cavity therebetween.
