An isolating hanger and method of making is disclosed for mounting a ceiling from an upper support. The isolating hanger comprises a one piece bendable wire having a spring shape defined between a first and a second wire end. The spring shaped is tempered for transforming said spring shape into a resilient spring. The remaining bendable wire ends affix the upper support to the ceiling for isolating vibration between the ceiling and the upper support.

Modular Non-Metallic Partitions

A modular partition system includes a non-metallic polymer frame assembly. Horizontal members of frame sub-assemblies of the frame assembly are slidably engaged such that a width of a rectangular opening of the frame assembly can be adjusted by sliding the first frame sub-assembly and the second frame sub-assembly together or apart. Front surfaces of the frame sub-assemblies include notches on their front surfaces. The system also includes a non-metallic rectangular polymer panels with non-metallic pegs. If the width of the rectangular opening is adjusted to a specified width, the notches and the pegs align and the pegs can insert into the notches, thereby attaching the panel to the frame assembly.

Sound damping wallboard and method of constructing a sound damping wallboard

A sound damping wallboard for installation on an installed wallboard, a sound damping wallboard system, and a method of constructing a sound damping wallboard on a building structure are disclosed. The sound damping wallboard includes a gypsum layer having a gypsum layer inner surface and a gypsum layer outer surface, a first sound damping layer disposed at the gypsum layer inner surface and having a first sound damping layer inner surface opposite the gypsum layer inner surface, a first encasing layer disposed at the gypsum layer outer surface, a second encasing layer disposed at the first sound damping layer inner surface, and a second sound damping layer disposed at the second encasing layer opposite the first sound damping layer inner surface.

Latch connector for profile beams and tubes

Herein is disclosed a latch mechanism for latching together extruded support members used to construct temporary partitions and the like. The latch mechanism consists of a latch and strike plate combination wherein a latch is placed at the end of one extrusion and a strike plate is positioned at the end of a second extrusion. The strike plate has hooks and the latch has a bail which is dimensioned to engage the hooks. Each of the latches are switchable between an unlocked orientation wherein the bail is free from the hooks and a locked position wherein the bail engages the hooks and biases the two extrusions together. The strike plate, bail, and hooks are dimensioned and configured such that up to four extrusions can be latched around a single fifth central extrusion.

FIRE-RATED WALL AND CEILING SYSTEM

The present application is directed toward fire-rated wall construction components and wall systems for use in building construction. Embodiments can include tracks for holding studs which incorporate various geometries capable of receiving fire-retardant material, flat straps for use between tracks and fluted wall components, fire sponges for use in fluted wall components, and tracks with protruding grooves or other structures which prevent unwanted air movement between a wallboard component and the track.

TEMPORARY WALL AND BRACKET SYSTEM FOR TEMPORARY WALL
