In a described embodiment, the smart window comprises: a frame portion including a wiring chase positioned internal to the frame portion and a glass portion. The glass portion may comprise a motorized shade, the motorized shade including a motor, a motor wiring, and a shade roll; a first pane of glass attached to the frame portion on an exterior side of the smart window; and a second pane of glass attached to the frame portion on an interior side of the smart window; wherein the frame portion surrounds the glass portion, wherein the motorized shade is attached to the frame portion between the first pane of glass and the second pane of glass by a hanging system, and wherein the motor wiring is positioned internal to the frame portion and the wiring chase.

TWO-PIECE TRACK SYSTEM

A fire-rated receiver channel includes at least one intumescent or other fire-resistant material strip. The receiver channel can nest with a framing member, such as metal tracks, headers, header tracks, sill plates, bottom tracks, metal studs, wood studs or wall partitions, and placed at a perimeter of a wall assembly to create a fire block arrangement. In other arrangements, a track assembly includes two nested tracks, an inner track and outer track. The assembly is designed so that the outside width of the outer track is equal to or less than the outside width of the inner track to present a substantially flush external surface for attachment of exterior sheathing elements when the assembly is used in an external wall.

Façade structure and/or wall structure for a building including tiles (1) and a support structure (2), in which the tiles (1) are received oriented in each case in a vertical plane. The support structure (2) has vertical tension elements (3), to which bearing bodies (4) are attached axially fixed.

The vertical tension elements (3) are allocated to the tiles (1) in such a way that at least one of the vertical tension elements (3) allocated to a tile in each case passes through two holding elements (5) of the tile (1), namely a first holding element (5), which is arranged in a lower area of the tile, and a second holding element (5), which is arranged in an upper area of the tile (1).

To mount the tiles on the vertical tension elements (3) it is provided that the bearing bodies (4) attached to the vertical tension elements cooperate with the holding elements (5).

Glass fastening and sealing systems

A glass fastening system includes a glass portion, a support structure defining a recess, a first adhesive layer disposed on an exterior surface of the glass portion facing the recess in the support structure, a second adhesive layer disposed within the recess of the support structure, and a fastener having a first portion secured to the first adhesive layer and a second portion extending away from the first portion and into the second adhesive layer to secure the glass portion to the support structure.

CONSTRUCTION

A construction according to the invention is a construction including a framework formed by first framework members and second framework members, and panels held by the framework. One or more of the panels can transmit visible light. One or more of the panels that can transmit visible light is a lighting device. The lighting device includes a light source, and a light guide that can transmit visible light and includes a light guide plate to guide light emitted from the light source. The light guide plate includes a light incident surface facing the light source and into which the light emitted from the light source enters, a first principal surface on the interior of the construction and from which the light guided in the light guide plate exits, and a second principal surface on the exterior of the construction and opposing the first principal surface.
