Methods and apparatuses for constructing a concrete structure
Various implementations comprise methods and apparatuses for constructing a concrete structure. An apparatus according to one implementation includes a structure comprising a pre-cast concrete component that includes at least one post-tensioning duct, a post-tensioning tendon extending through the post-tensioning duct, and a poured in place concrete surface disposed above and coupled to the pre-cast concrete component.

HAPTIC FLOOR SYSTEM WITH QUAKE PLATE ASSEMBLIES PRODUCING LARGE VIBRATION EFFECTS
A haptic floor system is provided that produces large vibration-based effects through the use of one-to-many panel or plate assemblies that can each be selectively operated by a controller in a programmed manner or in response to sensor outputs. Each of these panel or plate assemblies may be labeled a quake plate assembly as the special effect delivered by the haptic floor system can provide a person supported by one of the quake plate assemblies with ground trembling and vibrations similar to that felt in an earthquake or when a super strong fictional character strikes the floor nearby or a large animal or robot walks or runs by the person. Each quake plate assembly may include a thin plate or panel with an upper contact surface for supporting people or objects and an opposite lower surface, and one-to-many actuators may be provided on the lower surface of the thin plate.

Precast modular structural building system and method
The present invention is a modular structural building system and method consisting of prefabricated, precast, composite reinforced concrete raised floor and steel beam panels with adjustable levelling connection assemblies between panels, supported by columns. The system has the ability to accommodate the use of the floor by construction personnel during the on-site assembly process. The perimeter of the raised floor slab can be provided with ducts for a field installed conventional reinforcement means to create a continuous structural diaphragm for the floor panel.

RESILIENT DECK STRUCTURE
According to a resilient platform assembly, a playing deck includes a plurality of horizontally disposed deck panels. Each deck panel of the plurality of horizontally disposed deck panels has a pair of foot flanges on the bottom of the deck panels. Receiving shoes are attached to the deck panels. The receiving shoes are configured to receive the foot flanges of the deck panels. A transverse member is perpendicular to the plurality of horizontally disposed deck panels. The transverse member includes a plurality of notches. Each notch of the plurality of notches is cut in the transverse member in a predetermined spacing pattern. The receiving shoes are installed in the notches and the deck panels are attached to the transverse member through the receiving shoes. Resilient mounts connect the transverse member to a support assembly and allow relative motion between the transverse member and the support assembly.
Architectural Construction Technique
A construction technique, for example for residential, light commercial and multifamily building construction, involving pre-fabricated elements. The elements include prefabricated structural components and prefabricated surface components. A technique of incremental building includes assembling a building structure using these pre-fabricated elements.
Connection for stacking post system for multistory building construction
A first post has a lower portion at a first floor of a multistory building and an upper portion at a second floor, and a second post has a lower portion at the second floor and an upper portion at a third floor or building-top structure. A post connection includes a horizontal cap plate and a vertical sleeve extending upward from the cap plate and having a bore with an inner dimension. The cap plate attaches to and covers the first post upper portion to prevent water intrusion into the first post. The second post lower portion has an outer dimension that is slightly less than the connection sleeve inner dimension so that the second post lower portion is slidingly received in the connection sleeve bore in an overlapping, telescopic arrangement. A retainer may be installed for engaging and supporting the second post on the connection.
SYSTEM FOR CONSTRUCTION
A modular plank is provided. The modular plank includes a body portion extending in a longitudinal direction and a plurality of protrusions extending outward from a first end of the body portion in the longitudinal direction. The plurality of protrusions each include a cross-section that changes size as the cross-section extends outwardly from the body portion in the longitudinal direction. In addition, the cross-section includes an upper end that is sized differently than a lower end.
