Steep slope roofing panel system and method
11603660 · 2023-03-14 · ·

A steep slope roofing panel system includes an underlayment and a plurality of roofing panels installed atop the underlayment. The panels may be installed to provide both protection from the environment and watershedding. Alternatively, the panels and the underlayment may share the watershedding functions of the roof, with one as a primary watershedding component and the other as an auxiliary watershedding component. The roofing system may be custom manufactured off-site based upon predetermined measurements and characteristics of a roof and its protrusions. Alternatively, the roofing system may be custom manufactured at the job site based upon such measurements and characteristics. Each panel may be assigned to a location on the roof and may include imprinted instructions regarding cutting and/or bending the panel to form flashing, drip edges, or other features, as well as the panel's location and installation sequence on the roof.

Modular Garage and System for Transport

A modular, unified, and completed garage structure comprising first and second garage modules, having mating surfaces and exterior walls, and temporary wall bracing and temporary floor bracing, wherein the modules have open interiors, free of any supports apart from the exterior walls and the mating surfaces, wherein the first module has a garage door opening in one of the exterior walls, wherein the mating surfaces comprise matching pairs of structural lumber that span the length of the module.

MODULAR CLEARSPAN BUILDING, AND MODULAR BUILDING SECTIONS AND CONSTRUCTION METHODS THEREFOR
20170370091 · 2017-12-28 ·

A modular building section defining the roof and opposing walls of a modular clearspan building. The building section includes a roof portion extending in a longitudinal direction between opposite first and second ends, and a pair of first and second legs, each leg pivotally attached about a pivot axis to the roof portion proximate a roof portion end. Each of the first and second legs has a stowed position in which the leg generally extends in the longitudinal direction and is in superposition with the roof portion, and an expanded position in which the leg depends from the roof portion and generally extends perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction. The legs are moveable independently of each other from their respective stowed positions to their respective expanded positions under the influence of gravity during lifting of the roof portion. Also disclosed are methods for constructing a modular clearspan building.

Roof ice diverter
20170370106 · 2017-12-28 ·

An assembly having a longitudinal webbed base plate, upright webbed diverter (e.g. “V”-shaped) and coupling stabilizer and brace arms that assemble to extend from a roof above typical snow cover depths to protect downstream appliances protruding from the roof from snow/ice slide damage. The base plate and/or stabilizer arm includes surfaces shaped to promote the scoring and shearing of a snow/ice slide prior to the sheared sections of the snow/ice being laterally displaced away from a downstream appliance via the upright diverter. Alternative serrated, saw tooth, pointed, spiked and wedged shear surfaces are formed into the base plate and/or a single or multi-section stabilizer arm. An appliance cover piece can be fitted to the upright diverter and suspended above the downstream appliance.

BUILDING AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING BUILDING

This building comprises a foundation, a main building part that is provided to the foundation and that has a framework structure, and a roof that is provided to the main building part and that has a truss structure. Moreover, a method for constructing the building includes: a first step for forming the foundation; a second step for creating the main building part having a framework structure on the foundation; and a third step for attaching, to the main building part, a roof frame having a pre-assembled truss structure.

PRE-FABRICATING A METAL DORMER
20170356186 · 2017-12-14 ·

Pre-fabrication of a metal dormer provides for a one-step and relatively easy installation by a home owner, a roofing contractor or a carpenter. By using an aluminum alloy and specific forming and welding adaptations, a relatively water-tight, light and low-cost dormer may be readily pre-fabricated.

BUILDING ASSEMBLY
20230183977 · 2023-06-15 ·

A building assembly includes a plurality of expanded polystyrene wall panels, headers, sill panels, U blocks, U block caps, roof panels, and connectors. Each U block includes rebar and at least one of concrete and cementitious material in a recess or void therein. Each U block cap when joined to the U block creates an enclosed void in the U block which holds the rebar and concrete and/or cementitious material. A plurality of capped U blocks joins a plurality of wall panels, headers, and sills to form a wall structure. A plurality of U blocks are placed on a top surface of the wall structure. A roof assembly including a plurality of U blocks, H connectors, T connectors, and combinations thereof connected to roof panels to form a rigid roof assembly. A coating of cementitious material provides additional structural rigidity and resistance to impact, fire, water, mold, mildew, and insects.
