Decking anchor, decking system utilizing the decking anchor, and method of installing the decking anchor
11519185 · 2022-12-06 · ·

The decking anchors may have a primary portion and a secondary portion that are operatively coupled together, such as through a fastener. The primary portion may comprise one or more primary projections (e.g., first and second primary projections) and/or the secondary portion may comprise one or more secondary projections (e.g., first and second secondary projections). In a first position adjacent projections may be retracted towards each other. In the first position the anchor may be installed into a cavity of the decking panel. The anchor may be rotated into a pre-installed position, and a force is exerted on the anchor such that the projections contact the webs of the decking. In response to continued force the projections move with respect to each other such that the anchor is moved into an installed position (e.g., the adjacent projections extend with respect to each other).

A wire bending device is adapted for bending hanger wires hanging from a ceiling in preparation of the installation of rails of a suspended ceiling. The bending device comprises a pole having a top extremity, a head module mounted to the pole, and a pair of handles distant from the head module for holding and activating the head module. The head module comprises a casing, a motor enclosed in the casing, a channel housed by the casing for receiving the hanger wire; and a push member driven by the motor travelling between an hanger wire insert position and a wire bend position, wherein the push member is adapted to push against the hanger wire and bend the hanger wire during its travel. Thereby, one may operate the bending device from the ground and bend hanger wires for installation of suspended ceiling rails.

In a suspended ceiling a housing is provided including a light located within an interior chamber having a lower opening. The housing includes lateral sides with slots therein which can receive fasteners coupled to ends of other T-bars. Ends of the housing can include fasteners, such as tabs or clips, which attach ends of the housing to adjacent supports, such as other T-bars within the suspended ceiling. In one embodiment, the housing has a constant cross-sectional form. The cross-sectional form can include lateral sides defined by lateral cross-tees with a vertical spine and lateral rest shelf upon which an edge of the ceiling tile can be supported. A central cross-tee can optionally be provided extending down from upper portions of the housing and between diagonal spans on upper lateral portions of the housing. One or more diffusers span the lower opening of the housing.

Collapsible acoustic honeycomb ceiling installation

A collapsible acoustic honeycomb ceiling installation can be made by cutting desired material into panels. Next, a manufacturer can cut one or more notches into the panels. The manufacturer can assemble the collapsible acoustic honeycomb ceiling installation by aligning the one or more notches on the panels and slideably connecting the panels. The resultant collapsible acoustic honeycomb ceiling installation can provide a versatile decorative feature to a space while maintaining or altering the acoustics of the space as desired. Further, because the ceiling installation is collapsible, a manufacturer or installer can easily transport, install, and remove the ceiling installation.
