Roofing systems and roofing boards with non-halogenated fire retardant
According to one embodiment, a halogen free roof system is described. The roof system includes a structural deck that is positioned above joists or other support members. Polyisocyanurate foam insulation is positioned atop the structural deck. The polyisocyanurate foam insulation has an isocyanate index greater than 200 and includes a polyisocyanurate core having a halogen free fire retardant. A water proof membrane is positioned atop the polyisocyanurate foam insulation. The polyisocyanurate core is able to form a sufficiently stable char when exposed to flame conditions such that the polyisocyanurate core is able to pass the ASTM E-84 test.
AN ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD
A building system and a method for constructing a building, the system (100) comprising plurality of prefabricated elements (I), the element (1) comprising: a self-supporting insulation panel (2) comprising a rigid insulation material, —a metal frame (3), comprising a pair of sub-frames. The length of the sub-frame (7a, 7b) has a cross-section comprising an attaching arm (10) extending along the corresponding edge surface (6a, 6b), and an intruding section (11) arranged in the attaching arm (10), the intruding section (II) intruding into the insulation element (5). A box-type structure (12) is arranged distally from the intruding section (11) and comprising a closed or partly open construction. The building system further comprises a connecting element (4), having a cross-section basically a shape of a U-profile. The connecting element (4) is arranged on sub-frames (7a, 7b) of two adjacent elements (1).
System, method and apparatus for attic rafter extension for storage
A support structure may have a base having surfaces including a top, a bottom, a front, a rear and sides. A first top slot may be formed in the top and may extend at least partially between the front and the rear. A second top slot may be formed in the top and may extend at least partially between the sides. In addition, a bottom slot may be formed in the bottom. A system for attic storage can include an attic having attic joists. A plurality of support structures, each comprising a base, may be mounted to the attic joists. At least two conventional lumber studs may be included and may extend between adjacent ones of the bases. In addition, a plurality of lumber panels may be mounted to at least one of the bases and the lumber studs.
Hinged Building Shrinkage Compensation Device
A device for compensating for the natural shrinkage of building materials includes a hinged expander mounted on an elongate base plate. The base plate includes a plurality of spaced apart teeth on each longitudinal end that define a notch between each pair of adjacent spaced teeth. The hinged expander included two leafs that are joined at an apex in a hinged relationship. Each leaf has an outer edge configured for receipt within a notch in the base plate. Apex is biased in a direction away from the base plate. The teeth prevent outward movement of the leaf edges while permitting inward movement. The base plate is securely fastened to a first building member. A fastener is longitudinally fixed relative to a second building member and the apex of the hinged expander but not fixed longitudinally relative to the base plate and first building member.
LAMINATED BAMBOO PLATFORM AND CONCRETE COMPOSITE SLAB SYSTEM
The present technology relates generally to a platform and concrete composite slab system used as a building material. A platform, is formed from joined, substantially coplanar boards with connector plates partially embedded between the boards such that a portion of the connector plates extend above the platform's top surface. A reinforcing material (e.g., wire mesh and/or rebar) can be arranged on the prongs or other portion of the connector plates spaced above the platform and concrete is poured over the reinforcing material and allowed to cure, forming a reinforced concrete layer that encases the connector plates and reinforcing material. The connector plates act as standoffs and help to suspend the reinforcing material in the middle of the concrete layer to increase the strength of the reinforced concrete and to fixedly anchor and bind the concrete layer to the platform, so as to establish a composite action between the platform and the concrete.
MODULAR PROTECTIVE ENCLOSURE FOR OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT
A protective enclosure for equipment located outside, such as, for example pipeline and wellhead valves, dewatering pumps, etc. includes a wall frame assembly constructed of a plurality of vertical frame members that are connected together at their tops and bottoms by a plurality of angle-iron members. Wall assemblies comprising insulated wall panels that are connected in a side-by-side relation by tongue-and-grove couplings are attached to the wall frame with the bottoms thereof supported on angle-iron members that connect the bottoms of the vertical frame members. A roof assembly can be attached to the wall frame in a stationary fashion or in a movable fashion to allow the roof to open, permitting access into the enclosure for servicing equipment housed therein. The enclosure has other features as described in the specification in further detail.
CONSTRUCTION OF A TINY HOUSE ON WHEELS
A mobile building constructed on a trailer, comprising: a wheeled trailer upon which the building is built, a floor and a plurality of walls secured to the trailer; and a roof structure, wherein external sides of the walls are braced with sheeting secured to the walls, the sheeting extending from a base of the building and securing to the roof structure.
Apparatus and system for dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system and methods thereof
An acoustic drop ceiling product, a dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system and related methods that include multiple differently shaped drop ceiling products that can be quickly and easily installed into a backer panel and ten onto construction drop ceiling hangers, to provide an aesthetically pleasing image, such as an undulating image, along with a reduction in unwanted noise or room acoustics.
STRUCTURAL MODULAR BUILDING PANEL, WALL, AND BUILDING SYSTEM
This invention relates to prefabricated, lightweight, multi-component structural modular building panels and modular building systems. The said panels are framed with edge members that have a unique connecting shape, making them modular. The multi-component panel allows for design flexibility and the mass manufacturing of its components. Connectors serve as a link to assemble the panels together, and to connect them to corners, floors or foundations, roof panels and the roof apex member, and or other conventional construction elements. Connectors and members, all with unique connecting shapes, coupled with the said panels, create a structural wall, roof, similar structure or building system. Assembled panels and members incorporate the primary building structure and the building envelope. The assembled panels, members and other components of the building system, in part or whole, can be flat packed for easy transport and shipping, and can be assembled quickly and easily with semi-skilled labor.
Backing layer of a thermal insulation panel for building having increased adhesion properties to an insulating layer
A backing layer (10) of a multilayer thermal insulation panel (100) for building constructions includes a glass fiber reinforcement layer (1) having a first surface (F1) and an opposite second surface (F2). The reinforcement layer is interposed between a first coating layer (2) attached to the first surface (F1) of the reinforcement layer and a second coating layer (3) attached to the second surface (F2) of the reinforcement layer (1). The first (2) and second (3) coating layers are manufactured by a mixture including an organic binder.
