TRANSPARENT FIRE-RETARDANT COMPOSITE MATERIAL
A transparent or translucent composite material, an architectural apparatus comprising the transparent or translucent composite material, and a method of manufacturing the composite material are described. The transparent or translucent composite material having a core film comprising PET, a first and second ETFE film on the outer portion, adhered via an adhesive layer configured to be fire-retardant and/or light-absorbent. The core film may have on one or both sides a solar control layer configured to block light, provide color, or other properties to the composite material.

Dwelling
A terrestrial dwelling (1) including a floor (2) with at least one floor section (3) orientated substantially horizontally in use. The dwelling includes at least one wall (4), including at least one wall section (5) projecting substantially upwardly from the floor section (3). A dwelling support (6) is configured to at least partially elevate the floor section (3) above a terrain surface (15). A roof (7) with at least one roof section (8) is attached to an upper portion of said wall (4) wherein the dwelling (1) is configured to provide at least partial atmospheric transparency to at least partially allow atmospheric elements including light incident on the dwelling (1) above the floor (2) to reach the terrain surface (15) under the dwelling (1).

Flexible translucent to transparent fireproof composite material
A fireproof, translucent, flexible coated fabric composite material for use in fire curtains. The composite material meets or exceeds regulatory requirements in terms of fire endurance and allows transmissivity of necessary amounts of light. The process of the present disclosure combines a silica fabric with a special refractory index controlled resin. This unique combination of materials can transform an opaque high temperature fabric into a translucent, and even transparent, composite which as the ability to resist high temperature, flame and smoke penetration that fills a needed gap in technology between visibility and fire resistance in the field of fire and smoke curtains used in civil construction.

Method for manufacturing panels having translucent elements
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing prism-shaped panels (1), each comprising through portions (55) made of translucent material adapted to transmit light between two opposite sides of the panel. The method includes arranging a plurality of elements (5, 5′, 5″) made of translucent material in a formwork so that the main direction of development (500) of such elements is parallel to the vertical direction of development (203) of the formwork. The method includes pouring cementitious mortar into said formwork (4) so that said cementitious mortar is distributed between said elements and so as to generate, after the hardening of said cementitious mortar, a substantially prism-shaped semi-finished cementitious mortar product (2) in which said elements made of translucent material are incorporated. The method further includes extracting the semi-finished product from said formwork after the hardening of the cementitious mortar, and cutting the semi-finished product according to cutting planes orthogonal to the longitudinal direction (500) in which the elements incorporated in said semi-finished product develop, so as to obtain prism-shaped parts, each of which corresponds to one of said panels (1).
