Architectural structures having an expandable frame
An architectural structure for constructing a variety of goods in a variety of configurations is provided. The architectural structure includes a plurality of paired slat-like members and a spine configured to hold the plurality of paired slat-like members in an expanded state. Each paired slat-like members includes joined upper ends, joined lower ends and an expandable central region joined to an adjacent paired slat-like members.

LAMINATED STRUCTURAL ARCH SYSTEM
A laminated structural arch system for supporting a horizontal planar structure, comprising at least one laminated arch. Each laminated arch is comprised of a plurality of arch plates rigidly fastened together in parallel, and forming a laminated configuration. Each arch plate is separated from the arch plate adjacent to it by a separation gap. The laminated structural arch system may contain two or more laminated arches positioned in parallel and secured to an anchoring structure, allowing one or more panels which comprise the horizontal planar structure to be positioned across and supported by the laminated arches. The laminated structural arch system may be provided as a kit of disassembled arch plates, allowing the system to be easily transported, handled, and assembled.
Pneumatic support
A support structure including a tension-compression element is composed of tension-compression bars that are connected in real joints as well as tension straps that extend from one joint to another. The outermost tension-compression bars are connected in one respective knot. Two pressurized hollow members that are surrounded by a cover are arranged on both sides of a plane that extends through the tension-compression element such that the linear tensions generated in the cover preload the tension straps on the plane of the tension-compression element, secure the tension-compression bars against bending, and stabilize the joints. The linear tensioning components that extend perpendicular to said plane of symmetry strut the tension-compression element against lateral bending. Air-tight, optionally elastic pneumatic elements can be inserted into the hollow members.

Modular roof structure
A post, beam and arched member modular building is shown. The modular building may be formed into any number of different configurations and different structures. The system relies upon a box shape formed from four vertical members, with an arched member extending between each of the adjacent vertical members. The rear vertical members being higher than the front vertical members, with angled members, or rafters extending from the rear vertical members (or a cross-member at the same height thereof) to the front vertical members (or the corresponding arch). In the configuration shown, the angled members or rafters are co-planar. The structure has substantial symmetry and aesthetic design.

FRAME FOR A TRANSPORTABLE SHELTER
A frame for a transportable shelter includes a first base member, a second base member, a plurality of structural members, and a plurality of purlins. Each of the structural members have a first end that is connectable to the first base member, a second that is connectable to the second base member, and at least two interconnecting members that extend between the first end and the second end. A first interconnecting member of a structural member is connectable to a second interconnecting member of the structural member. The plurality of purlins are configured to connect one of the structural members to another structural member.
