Multifunctional roofing material
A roofing material including: a polycarbonate layer which is a polycarbonate panel having a predetermined thickness and in which a convex portion and a concave portion are alternately repeated in order to diffuse light incident on the roofing material, wherein a two-dimensional array of a plurality of bumps for diffusing light incident on the roofing material, is formed on a surface of each convex portion and a surface of each concave portion of the polycarbonate layer.

Polyisocyanurate coverboards with improved fire resistance
A construction board includes a foam body having first and second planar surfaces, said foam body including a polyisocyanurate foam matrix defining a plurality of closed cells, said closed cells being at least substantially devoid of hydrocarbon blowing agents, and said foam body being characterized by a density, pursuant to ASTM C303, of at least 2.5 lbs/ft.sup.3; and a facer disposed on a planar surface of said foam body, said facer including a glass substrate having an internal planar surface proximate to said foam body and an external planar surface opposite said foam body, a first coating disposed on said external surface, and a second coating disposed on or proximate to said internal surface, where said first coating disposed on said external surface includes an inert filler, and where said second coating disposed on or proximate to said internal surface includes intumescent material.
Backed panel and system for connecting backed panels
A backed panel comprising a facing panel and a backing panel. The backing panel has a groove, recessed portion, or any other suitable type of relief channel adapted to receive a side edge portion of a facing panel of an adjacent backed panel. By providing a space to receive a side edge portion of an adjacent facing panel, the relief channel may enable an improved lap joint to be established between adjacent backed panels.
PRECAST INSULATED LOAD BEARING ROOF ELEMENT AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING A ROOF ELEMENT
The present disclosure relates to a precast load bearing roof deck element for a building comprising an upper floor layer of concrete, a load bearing steel reinforced lower layer of concrete, at least one thermally insulating layer located between and separating the upper floor layer of concrete and the lower layer of concrete, and a plurality of binders extending between the lower layer of concrete and the upper floor layer of concrete, the roof deck element configured to be mounted on a load bearing construction of the building. The disclosure also relates to a roof construction comprising a load bearing construction, such as a column and beam construction, and at least two of the above mentioned precast load bearing roof deck elements, wherein the roof deck elements are positioned side by side forming a gap between the roof deck elements, wherein the distance between the roof elements is between 0 mm and 100 mm, or between 1 mm and 100 mm. Furthermore the present disclosure relates to a method for manufacturing a load bearing roof deck element and a method for installing a roof construction on a load bearing construction of a building.
HEATING COMPENSATING ROOFING BOARDS
A roofing board, such as a polyiso insulation board, includes first and second surfaces, where the first surface is lighter in color than the second surface. This allows the roofing installer to choose which of the surfaces to expose to the atmosphere, the lighter surface being cooler than the darker surface. The lighter surface may have a solar reflectance greater than the darker surface. A roofing membrane is then adhered or otherwise attached to the exposed surface.
PROTECTIVE PACKAGING MEMBRANES AS INTEGRATED LAYER IN BUILDING SYSTEM COMPONENTS
Building materials such as structural panels, beams, roof decking, and flooring panels, are packaged within a protective layer including a sublayer of a polymeric material that can be applied at the factory. The protective layer protects the underlying building materials from exposure to weather and potential damage due to handling during shipping, at a job site, and which can be left in place during construction, thus eliminating the need for temporary protective measures covering the building materials. The protective layer may have additional properties such as breathability, fire resistance, and sound absorption. The protective layer also may provide an underlayment such as for flooring and roofing.

Enhanced roofing system
A roof system includes a roof deck, a weighted cover board disposed upwardly adjacent the roof deck and a plurality of fasteners coupling the weighted cover board to the roof deck.
PANEL FOR SHEATHING SYSTEM AND METHOD
The panel includes a water resistant barrier layer secured atop its outward facing surface. The water resistant barrier layer includes a skid resistant surface. The panels are made of lignocellulosic material. The water resistant and skid resistant surface may include indicia for aligning strips of tape or for aligning fasteners. A method for manufacturing the water resistant building panels is also disclosed and includes the steps of feeding paper onto a forming belt, depositing lignocellulosic material and the binding agent onto the forming belt so as to form a lignocellulosic mat, applying heat and pressure so as to impart the skid resistant surface on the paper, and cutting panels to predetermined sizes.
