Reinforced notched sub-purlin
A reinforced notched sub-purlin is formed by a top flange, one or more vertical webs, one or more base flanges, one or more notches, and at least one reinforcement. The top flange extends the entire length of the reinforced notched sub-purlin. The vertical web(s) extend from the top flange, and the one or more notches are formed by removing a portion of the vertical web (where only one vertical web is used) or by separating adjacent vertical webs (where a plurality of vertical webs are used). A base flange extends from the vertical web(s) in a direction opposite the direction in which the top flange extends from the vertical web. The at least one reinforcement is provided on the vertical web(s) and provides enhanced stiffness, thus improving ability of the reinforced notched sub-purlin (and a roof or wall panel installed thereon) to resist forces resulting from, for example, wind and snow.
Metal roofing system
A retrofit roofing system with a roof furring having a substantially flat top and L-shaped side with openings that correspond to the raised portions of the existing metal roof panels, at least two fasteners that penetrate the L-shaped side through the existing metal roof panels and into the at least one roof perlins, a layer of adhesive on the substantially flat top portion of the roof furring; and at least one new metal roof panel on top of the layer of adhesive. There is also a new roofing system having at least two roof perlins with a bottom portion attached to a roof deck by fasteners and a top portion, a layer of adhesive attached to the top portion of the at least two roof perlins and a metal roofing panel on top of the layer of adhesive attached to the top portion of the at least two roof perlins.
System for re-roofing asphalt shingled roofs
A method of roofing a bare roof deck includes applying asphalt shingles and metal flashings to a wood deck of a roof. The flashings applied are edge drip for edges and gable ends, metal valleys, and step flashing for wall to roof junctions. Asphalt capping of ridges or hips are applied. Metal panels overtop of existing asphalt roof are applied thereby creating a metal overlay configured such that substantially all of the asphalt shingles are covered with a metal panel for preventing further degradation of asphalt components by shielding from sunlight, UV rays, excessive moisture, snow, wind, ice, and fire. No further flashings are installed thereby the metal panel overlay is configured to create a semi-watertight seal such that the metal panel overlay together with the asphalt roof is adapted to create a watertight seal.
Enhanced roofing system
A roof system includes a roof deck, a weighted cover board disposed upwardly adjacent the roof deck and a plurality of fasteners coupling the weighted cover board to the roof deck.
Methods of forming a leakproof pitched roof section or wall with the use of solar panels
A method of forming a leakproof pitched wall or roof section with the use of solar panels includes arranging the solar panels in rows so that at least one panel on the second row is offset upwardly relative to at least one panel on the first row. Seals are provided to prevent the leakage of liquid through the pitched wall or roof section formed by the solar panels.
Purlin clip assembly and system
A weight-bearing system for hanging items from the roof structure of a metal building is disclosed. The system includes a purlin with at least one flange, a span aperture in the vertical span of the purlin, a clip that attaches to the purlin using the span aperture, and a fastener on the clip for transferring weight applied to the fastener to the clip and to the vertical span of said purlin.

Method of securing roofing membrane using lightly adhesive release layer positioned between hook and loop fasteners
A hook and loop system for attaching a roofing membrane into the top of a building insulation board including a roofing membrane with a fleece backing having a release sheet on the fleece backing. The release sheet is manually removed in the field to attach the fleece backing directly onto a layer of hooks that have been pre-attached onto the top of the insulation board. The release layer may be somewhat sticky, yet not adhere too tightly to the fleece layer such that its removal does not damage the fleece backing. The release layer may also be pre-rolled together with the fleece backed roofing membrane and shipped together as a unit into the field.

BONDING ADHESIVE AND ADHERED ROOFING SYSTEMS PREPARED USING THE SAME
A method is provided for forming an adhered membrane roof system that meets Factory Mutual (FM) 4470/4474 standards for wind uplift. The method comprises applying a bond adhesive to a substrate on a roof to form an adhesive layer and applying a membrane directly to the adhesive layer. The bond adhesive includes a moisture-curable polymer.
