Silicone membranes
A method for covering a roof, the method comprising (i) providing first and second silicone membranes, where the membranes are in the form of rolls; (ii) unrolling the first and second silicone membranes over a roof surface; (iii) positioning first and second membranes adjacent to one another and overlapping and edge of the second over an adjacent edge of the first membrane to thereby form a lap; (iv) securing the first and second membranes to the roof surface; and (v) seaming the first membrane to the second membrane in the lap.

DOUBLE PASS PROCESS OF MAKING A SELF ADHERING ROOFING MEMBRANE WITH IMPROVED ADHESION AT LOWER INSTALLATION TEMPERATURE
A self-adhering roofing membrane may include a polymeric membrane. The roofing membrane may include a first adhesive layer disposed on a major surface of the polymeric membrane. The first adhesive layer may include one or both of a hot melt adhesive and a butyl rubber-based adhesive. The roofing membrane may include a UV curable adhesive layer disposed on the first adhesive layer. The UV curable adhesive layer may have a thickness of less than about 4 mils.
CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL
A construction material comprises a watertight sheet material of a mixture of a plastic and at least one additive. The plastic comprises at least substantially polyvinyl butyral (PVB). At least a fire retardant containing ammonium polyphosphate is added thereto as additive. Use is particularly made of recycled polyvinyl butyral.
CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL
A construction material comprises a watertight sheet material of a mixture of a plastic and at least one additive. The plastic comprises at least substantially polyvinyl butyral (PVB). At least a fire retardant containing ammonium polyphosphate is added thereto as additive. Use is particularly made of recycled polyvinyl butyral.
LIQUID APPLIED ROOFING FORMULATIONS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME TO COAT AT LEAST ONE STEEP SLOPE ROOF SUBSTRATE
Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method comprising: obtaining a base formulation, obtaining an activator formulation, mixing the base formulation with the activator formulation, so as to result in a liquid applied roofing formulation, applying the liquid applied roofing formulation to at least one steep slope roof substrate, and solidifying the formulation, so as to form at least one coating layer on the at least one steep slope roof substrate. Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a liquid applied roofing formulation comprising a first part and a second part. In some embodiments, the first part comprises the base formulation and the second part comprises the activator formulation.
LIQUID APPLIED ROOFING FORMULATIONS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME TO COAT AT LEAST ONE STEEP SLOPE ROOF SUBSTRATE

A self-adhering roofing membrane may include a polymeric membrane. The roofing membrane may include a first adhesive layer disposed on a major surface of the polymeric membrane. The first adhesive layer may include one or both of a hot melt adhesive and a butyl rubber-based adhesive. The roofing membrane may include a UV curable adhesive layer disposed on the first adhesive layer. The UV curable adhesive layer may have a thickness of less than about 4 mils.
COLORED ROOFING MEMBRANE WITH IMPROVED SOLAR REFLECTANCE
Exemplary embodiments of a thermoplastic polyolefin membrane are provided. The colored TPO membrane can have a cap layer having a top color layer and a white sub-layer having a solar reflectance underneath the top color layer, and a core layer underneath the cap layer. The colored TPO roofing membrane can have a reinforcing polyester scrim between the cap layer and the core layer. The white sub-layer can be made up of one or more layers.
COLORED ROOFING MEMBRANE WITH IMPROVED SOLAR REFLECTANCE
Exemplary embodiments of a thermoplastic polyolefin membrane are provided. The colored TPO membrane can have a cap layer having a top color layer and a white sub-layer having a solar reflectance underneath the top color layer, and a core layer underneath the cap layer. The colored TPO roofing membrane can have a reinforcing polyester scrim between the cap layer and the core layer. The white sub-layer can be made up of one or more layers.
