A membrane 10 is a geomembrane 10, which takes the form of a non-conductive sheet 11. A conductive layer 13 is printed on to the sheet 11, in this instance in a geometric pattern of a rectangular grid. The lines of the grid 13 are conductive and connected to each other, with non-conductive gaps 15 disposed between the grid lines. Accordingly, a conductive linear network is formed, which has the requisite conductivity for leak detection.

AN ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE MATERIAL FOR APPLYING IT UNDER A NON-CONDUCTIVE WATER INSULATION

The invention relates to electrically conductive materials for leak detection applications. The conductive multilayer materials are especially suitable for water tightness inspections on roofs and other leak proof structures. Electrically conductive material (1) for applying it under a non-conductive water insulation layer comprises a nonwoven PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) or PP (Polypropylene) polymer layer (2) and a conductive particle coating (3) consisting of electrically conductive carbon and/or metal particles (4), uniformly covering complete surface of the polymer layer (2), and an acrylic binder (5). The invention further relates to the method of manufacture of said electrically conductive material as well as the use thereof.

Intelligent membrane systems and methods

A leak detection system for a membrane is disclosed. The system includes a non-permeable membrane; a plurality of printed sensors configured to obtain membrane measurements at a plurality of locations of the membrane; and a control circuit.

WATER LEAK DETECTION SYSTEMS FOR FLAT COMMERCIAL ROOF STRUCTURES

A leak detection system for flat commercial roof structures is disclosed in order to detect and subsequently repair a leak as soon as possible such that any damage to the roof, as well as to other structural and/or insulation components of the overall roof structure, can be minimized due to the absorption or migration of the water. The leak detection system may comprise elongated water detection sensor strips to be fixedly secured to at least two edge portions of insulation board assemblies, or alternatively, electrical circuits may be provided over the entire expanse of the major upper surface portion of each insulation board assembly, or alternatively still further, rolls of water detection sensor strips may be applied to different regions of the flat commercial roof structure.
