TWIST RESISTANT ROOF STRUCTURE
The present invention relates to a roof structure comprising support members. Depth locators are provided for fastening to the support members to locate a desired depth of bridge members. The bridge members extend between the support members at the desired depth. A safety barrier is provided for being supported by the bridge members. Each depth locator may include a folded sheet bracket which advantageously resists twisting when fastened to the support members with a threaded depth locator fastener driven by a rattle gun.
COMMERCIAL ROOFING SPECIFICALLY IN THE AREA OF ROOFING INSULATION AND COVERBOARDS
A method of manufacturing a conductive roofing board may include pouring a polyisocyanurate foam on top of a facer. The method may include laminating the polyisocyanurate foam and the facer to cure the polyisocyanurate foam and adhere the polyisocyanurate foam to the facer to form a roofing board. The method may include applying a conductive coating to an exposed surface of the facer, wherein the conductive coating has a coating weight of between about 0.1 lb/100 sqft and 10 lb/100 sqft. The method may include exposing the roofing board and the conductive coating to a heating device to cure the conductive coating.
Sump drain apparatus, system, and method of construction
The present disclosure provides a sump drain apparatus comprising a drain inlet and a ramp coupled to the drain inlet comprising an incline plane configured to divert drainage water toward the drain bowl, wherein at least a portion of the ramp is configured to be positioned on top of a roof deck.
Roof cover board derived from engineered recycled content
An improved cover board product with a panel comprised of three discrete layers: a top surface layer comprised of either paper or a fiberglass web, a bottom surface layer comprised of either paper or a fiberglass web, and a core layer comprised of discrete paper fragments and polypropylene fragments, which are connected by use of a thermoplastic bonding resin, including polyethylene. The bonding resin is generally attached in a random pattern to less than 100% of the paper fragment and polypropylene fragment surface area. The paper fragments are generally shaped as irregular plates. The polypropylene fragments can have multiple shape types. The two different fragment types are randomly distributed in the core layer relative to each other. The core layer includes small voids in and around the particles, which improves flexibility. The core layer is attached to the top and bottom surface layers by use of a thermoplastic adhesive, including polyethylene.
SELF-ADHERING CONSTRUCTION PANELS, ASSEMBLIES, AND METHODS
Self-adhering construction panels are methods for their manufacture and installation are provided. A construction panel includes a rigid panel core that includes gypsum or foam, and an adhesive or a precursor of an adhesive disposed on at least a portion of a first surface of the panel in an inactivated or unexposed form, wherein, upon activation or exposure of the adhesive or precursor, the adhesive is configured to secure the panel to a construction assembly.
VENTILATED STRUCTURAL PANELS AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION WITH VENTILATED STRUCTURAL PANELS
A ventilated structural panel comprising a first sheet, having a long axis defining a length and a perpendicular short axis defining a width, a plurality of spacing structural elements, fixedly attached to the first sheet such that the yield strength of the panel is greater than the individual yield strength of the first sheet, and the plurality of spacing structural elements being formed such that a plurality of unobstructed pathways are created for air to move from at least one edge of the panel to at least one of an opposite and an adjacent edge of the panel, wherein the first sheet is the only sheet in the panel.
Reactive flame retardants for flexible polyurethane foams
The present invention provides dialkyl phosphorus-containing compounds, namely reactive mono-hydroxyl-functional dialkyl phosphinates, serving as highly efficient reactive flame retardants in flexible polyurethane foams. The invention further provides fire-retarded polyurethane compositions comprising said the reaction product of the mono-hydroxyl-functional dialkyl phosphinates with polyol and isocyanate foam forming components.
THERMAL INSULATION PROPERTIES OF POLYISO FOAMS
Embodiments may include an insulated structure. The insulated structure may include a plurality of structural support members coupled together to form a frame. The insulated structure may also include a plurality of first wall boards attached to an exterior side of the frame to form an exterior wall or surface of the structure. The insulated structure may further include a spray foam insulation positioned within at least one of the wall cavities of the structure. The spray foam insulation may have an insulative R-value greater than or equal to 6.0 per inch at 40 F. The spray foam formulation may be made from a formulation that includes a reaction product of a polyisocyanate compound and a polyol compound and a blowing agent. The blowing agent may include a mixture of n-pentane and isopentane, where the mixture is at least 75% isopentane.
Composite comprising a nonwoven vapor permeable sheet
A composite laminate comprising at least one moisture vapor permeable nonwoven sheet having first and second surfaces and a fluorinated polymeric coating on the first surface of the sheet wherein (i) the fluorinated polymeric coating is present in an amount such that the total fluorine content of the coated non-woven sheet is 0.05 to no greater than 0.4 gsm, and (ii) the composite laminate, after exposure to wet timber, exhibits a retained hydrohead of at least 60 percent.
