This application relates to roof vents with diverters that prevent or reduce the likelihood that water or other debris can be driven through the vent by wind. For example, a roof vent can include a lower portion and an upper portion attached to the lower portion at an upslope edge, the upper portion angling away from the upslope edge to create a space therebetween. The roof vent can also include a front opening between the lower portion and the upper portion at a downslope edge of the upper portion to allow airflow into and out of the space. The roof vent can include a diverter positioned downslope of the front opening and attached to the lower portion for preventing or reducing the likelihood that water or other debris can be driven through the vent by wind.

Louvered patio cover

This disclosure relates to a louvered patio cover. The louvered patio cover may comprise a frame with support beams, louvered panels, support beam couplers, an actuator, a gutter, and/or other components. The support beams may have angled ends. The louvered panels may be rotatably coupled to the support beams. A support beam coupler may comprise first and second receivers. The first receiver may be configured to receive an angled end of a first support beam, and the second receiver may be configured to receive an angled end of a second support beam. The angled ends of the first and second support beams may face, meet, and/or abut each other when received by the first and second receivers. The actuator may be configured to rotate the louvered panels. A gutter may comprise a lighting channel configured to hold a light source for lighting an area under the louvered patio cover.

Openwork spacer for use within an exterior building structure

An exterior wall or roof of a building comprises an inner sheathing member having an exterior facing surface, an outer building material installed adjacent and covering the exterior facing surface of the inner sheathing member, and a spacer secured between the inner sheathing member and the outer building material. The spacer is a continuous length of material formed by at least a first parallel set of ribs extending diagonally relative to a second parallel set of ribs thereby forming an openwork lattice structure. The first set of ribs forms a front face of the material, the second set or additional set of ribs forms a rear face of the material, and the first and second set of ribs are interconnected intermediate of the front and rear faces. Each of the first and second set of ribs extend diagonally relative to horizontal and vertical directions within the wall or roof.

The device includes a diverter having a lower opening and an upper opening, the upper opening having a central axis; and a seal having a seal opening, the seal opening being con figured to contact an outer surface of the roof-penetrating pipe and form a gas-tight seal with the roof-penetrating pipe. In an assembled state of the device, any of the gas that enters the diverter can only exit the diverter through the upper opening or through the roof-penetrating pipe, and the diverter is installable in multiple different positions, each of die different positions having a different included angle between the central axis of the upper opening and the central axis of the roof-penetrating pipe.

The airflow extension members may extend outward beyond the periphery of the air plate to create external air plenums. The roof vent assembly may be operable to draw air from the external air plenums under a roof membrane, into an internal air plenum defined by the air plate, through the vent tube and out of the vent cap to remove moisture from the roof.
