MODULAR CANOPY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY
A modular canopy system for installation on a supporting surface, the system comprising: a. a centre plate comprising i. a canopy surface; ii. a first substantially planar securing surface extending at an acute angle from the canopy surface, wherein the canopy surface and the securing surface define a first securing portion at a first end of the canopy surface and a second securing portion at an opposing second end of the canopy surface; and b. first and second securing plates, each securing plate comprising i. a substantially planar surface; ii. a canopy engagement portion extending from the planar surface, the canopy engagement portion defining a receiving slot for receiving at least a portion of a respective first or second securing portion therein; and iii. a second substantially planar securing surface extending from the planar surface at an acute angle relative to the canopy engagement portion, wherein, when the first and second securing portions are receivable within the receiving slots of respective first and second securing plates such that the first and second securing surfaces extend along a common plane. The present invention also provide a method of assembly of such a modular canopy system.
Configurable Data Center Platform
A configurable data center platform includes an enclosure configured to affix to a support structure, the enclosure configured for housing one or more processing systems that form a data center, one or more transceivers configured to enable the one or more processing systems to communicate with one or more remote devices, one or more sensors; and an electrical power distribution subsystem configured to condition a received electrical current to one or more conditioned electrical currents that power the one or more processing systems and the one or more sensors, wherein the enclosure comprises a cooling system that removes heat from the one or more processing systems and the one or more sensors.
DAYLIGHT REDIRECTING WINDOW COVERING
An optically transmissive light directing sheeting and daylight control structures employing the same. The light directing sheeting includes a core light redirecting layer employing TIR surfaces embedded into the sheeting and may further include one or more outer layers having light diffusing surface microstructures. The TIR surfaces intercept and reflect a portion of sunlight propagating through the core layer such that the light directing sheeting partially transmits and partially redirects the sunlight towards a plurality of divergent directions, forming relatively high bend angles.
Adjustable bracket for raising a patio roof and method of use
An adjustable bracket for raising a patio roof comprising an attachment mechanism attachable to a fascia or eave on a side of a residential structure; a bracket mechanism configured to raise, support, and attach a patio roof member or joist above the fascia or eave; and an adjustment mechanism to provide an adjustment angle of the bracket mechanism relative to the attachment mechanism to accommodate different roof angles.
BRACKET SYSTEM FOR ATTACHING A CANTILEVERED PERGOLA TO A ROOF RAFTER
A bracket system, for suspending pergola beams from an existing structure, the existing structure having a vertical wall and roof rafters that each have a rafter top and a rafter end that extends beyond the vertical wall over a ground surface, each of the pergola beams having a supported end, including a plurality of brackets. Each bracket having a mounting assembly for attaching to one of the rafters, a support assembly for attaching the support end of one of the pergola beams, and a connecting assembly that suspends the support assembly from the mounting assembly. The pergola beams extend over the ground surface, away from the existing structure, supported only by the bracket at the support end and without any vertical supports.
Rail system for an outdoor shelter
A rail system for an outdoor shelter is described herein. The rail system includes at least one pair of support post members, each pair of support post members including a first support post member being spaced apart from a second support post member; a first guide rail member coupled to the first support post member; a second guide rail member coupled to the second support post member; and a shade support pole member slidably coupled to the first and second guide rail members, the shade support pole member being coupled to an end portion of a shade member of the outdoor shelter, and the shade support pole member configured to be slidably displaced along the lengths of the first and second guide rail members so as to allow an amount by which the shade member overhangs a side of the outdoor shelter to be adjusted by a user.
Canopy support arm assembly
Disclosed is a canopy support arm assembly formed from a support tube having a continuous sidewall that can be cut to size at a job site. The support tube is coupled on each end by base elements having a receiver end sized for receipt of the end of the support tube and a conical shaped barrel having threads formed along an outer surface. An aperture passes through each threaded end for receipt of a threaded rod that is constructed and arranged to extend through the threaded ends and aperture using nut fasteners to provide a compression force between the elements. A first connector having a threaded receptacle engages the threaded end of the first base element, concealing one of the nut fasteners. A second connector having a threaded receptacle engages the threaded end of the second base element, concealing the other nut fastener.
Downlight structures for direct/indirect lighting
An optically transmissive light directing sheeting and a method of making the same are disclosed. The light directing sheeting includes a core sheet of an elastic material that can be laminated onto other surfaces or sandwiched between sheets of various rigid materials. The core sheet includes a plurality of deep and narrow parallel channels configured to direct light by means of a total internal reflection. The method includes a step of slitting of a soft, optically transmissive plastic sheet with a blade and forming at least one array of substantially parallel linear slits in a surface of the sheet, a step of stretching the sheet in a direction perpendicular to the linear slits, and a step of bonding the sheet to a different sheet of an optically transmissive, rigid material. Various light directing devices employing the light directing sheeting are also disclosed.
