WALKWAY AND WALKWAY SYSTEM FOR AN AVIARY
The present embodiments provide an aviary, a walkway for an aviary, and a walkway system for an aviary. The walkway includes a ramp and at least one support disposed below the ramp.
Ramp structure
A ramp kerb, for supporting a transverse edge of a ramp surface and a ramp lip extension having an attachment portion, comprises a first longitudinally extending channel open at an inner transverse edge of the ramp kerb for receiving a transverse edge of the ramp surface and a second longitudinally extending channel open at the inner transverse edge of the ramp kerb for receiving an attachment portion of the ramp lip extension. The first and second longitudinally extending channels are vertically spaced.
MOVABLE PLATFORM FOR A PATH
An amusement park attraction system includes a user path extending through at least a portion of the amusement park attraction system, a railing extending along the user path, and a platform slidingly and rotatably coupled to the railing. The platform is configured to translate along the railing to position the platform relative to the user path, and the platform is configured to rotate relative to the user path to adjust between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration.
WHEELCHAIR RAMPS, HAND RAILINGS, AND MODULAR ACCESSIBILITY SYSTEMS INCORPORATING THE SAME
A modular system including a surface-defining assembly having a plurality of panels. Each panel includes a plate portion, a first connector disposed towards and extending along a first side of the plate portion, and a second connector disposed towards and extending along a second side of the plate portion. The first and second connectors of adjacent panels are configured to engage one another to thereby engage the plurality of panels with one another in side-by-side relation such that the plate portions cooperate to define a continuous surface of the surface-defining assembly.
Ramps for low-profile vehicles
A ramp for assisting the loading of a vehicle onto a rollback car carrier or the like. The ramp including a front ramp assembly, a middle ramp assembly rotatably connected to the front ramp assembly, a rear ramp assembly rotatably connected to the middle ramp assembly, and a trailer abutment section positioned adjacent to the rear ramp assembly.
LIGHTWEIGHT UNIVERSAL PANEL MAT
A lightweight universal panel mat made of plastic or elastomeric material and having a first section that provides a relatively flat, textured or structured top surface to facilitate movement over the mat and a second section having geometry that includes a plurality of cells having top surfaces that support the first section. The panel mats have first, second, third and fourth sides that are configured to matingly engage or connect to the second, third, fourth and first sides, respectively. The connection can be by insertion or snap-locking of one side to another, or by the use of fastening elements that more securely holds the sides together. Thus, similarly configured panel mats can be connected by interlocking to form a temporary support surface, deck, walkway or roadway. Additional side ramps and adapters can be used to facilitate installation of the mats and access to the upper surfaces of the joined mats.
Non-slip ramp hardware
A method or system for constructing a non-slip ramp having at least two sloped ramp stringers and a starter wedge having a sloped side and an open side. A non-slip deck board is slid into the open side of the starter wedge and at least two tread plates, each providing spacing between two adjacent non-slip deck boards, each tread plate having a flat top section with a substantially L-shaped section attached perpendicular to the flat top section, with the bottom of the L fitting below one of the adjacent deck boards. The at least two tread plates are attached to the at least two sloped ramp stringers and an end-cap attached to a last non-slip deck board.
Methods for training a person to ride a bicycle using angular momentum
Methods of teaching and learning bicycle riding skills are disclosed, including training a student to ride a bicycle comprising positioning a student on a bicycle at the top of an inclined surface with a slope in a range of 8 to 15 degrees and a distance of at least 30 feet, wherein the student straddles the bicycle's seat such that the student's feet engage the inclined surface and the student's hands engage the bicycle's hand brakes. The student releases the brakes and lifts his/her feet from the inclined surface. Under angular momentum, the bicycle moves down the inclined surface while the student steers the bicycle. The bicycle is returned to the top of the inclined surface and the steps are repeated. The student also learns to pedal the bicycle using the inclined surface with similar repeatable steps. Other skills such as starting the bicycle with the pedals are taught.
WHEELCHAIR RAMP SYSTEM USING STRUCTRUALLY INSULATED PANEL (SIPS)
A wheelchair ramp system includes a ramp constructed from at least one structural insulated panel (SIP) having a foam core sandwiched between two structural facing panels such as oriented strand board (OSB). An outdoor exterior coating such as polyaspartic coating covers the SIP panel for allowing the SIP panel to be resistant to outdoor elements. At least one guardrail or handrail is secured to the side of the SIP for providing a safety barrier to persons using the ramp system.
Handrail adjustability bracket
A handrail bracket for coupling a handrail to a portion of a ramp and/or platform assembly includes a first portion for coupling to a handrail system, and a second portion for supporting the handrail, the second portion being adjustably coupled to the first portion. A ramp and/or platform assembly includes a handrail system coupled to the decking system at an interface, wherein the handrail system includes a pivoting bracket for adjustable handrail alignment to substantially align a handrail with the grade of the decking system.
