INSPECTION OF A STRUCTURE WITH A SLOPED BACK WALL
A signal is sent into a first surface of a structure at an angle relative to the first surface of the structure using a transducer array, wherein the structure has a second surface with a portion non-parallel to the first surface. An ultrasound response signal is formed at the portion of the second surface of the structure. The ultrasound response signal is received at the transducer array.
RAMP STRUCTURE
The present disclosure relates to a ramp kerb for supporting a transverse edge of a ramp surface and a ramp lip extension having an attachment portion. The ramp kerb comprises a first longitudinally extending channel open at an inner transverse edge of the ramp kerb for receiving a transverse edge of the ramp surface and a second longitudinally extending channel open at the inner transverse edge of the ramp kerb for receiving an attachment portion of the ramp lip extension. The first and second longitudinally extending channels are vertically spaced.
SEGMENTED PANEL MAT
A lightweight universal panel mat made of plastic or elastomeric material and having a first section that provides a relatively flat surface and provides a frame for receiving a plurality of removable panels that form a working surface within the panel mat. The panel mat includes a second section having geometry that supports the first section. The mats also include first, second, third and fourth sides forming a perimeter of the mat, wherein the first and second sides include upper structures having a sloped lower surface and the third and fourth sides include lower structures having sloped upper surfaces. The sloped surfaces are configured to allow for overlapping with sloped surfaces other like mats for interlocking therewith while forming a generally flat continuous top and bottom surface of the overlapped mats. The mats may be interlocked by a fastening member which fits in aligned openings of the adjacent mats for connection therewith.
Device for helping a vehicle pass over an obstacle
The invention relater to a device (1) for helping a wheeled vehicle pass over an obstacle, in particular for a person with impaired mobility. It comprises: a stationary frame (2) comprising a bottom and two side walls (9, 10), a plate (3) provided with two ends, a first end being movable between a high position and a low position in which said plate constitutes a first access ramp, an assembly for driving the vertical translational movement at least of said first end supported by said assembly, a flap (4) forming a front surface of the device in the high position of the plate and forming a second access ramp in the low position of the plate, the flap (4) being pivotably mounted on the plate at the first end of said plate, and a mechanism for deploying the flap (4), comprising at least one connecting rod including a front end hingedly connected to the flap (4), the hinge being separated from the upper edge and from the lower edge of said flap (4), a rear end linked to a first slide slidably mounted in a linear guide provided in the plate, and a central portion linked to a second slide (45) slidably mounted in a guide (19) provided in one side of the frame, the connecting rod moving in a substantially vertical plane.
HANDRAIL ADJUSTABILITY BRACKET
In one embodiment, a handrail bracket for coupling a handrail to a portion of a ramp and/or platform assembly includes a first portion for coupling to a handrail system, and a second portion for supporting the handrail, the second portion being adjustably coupled to the first portion. In another embodiment, a ramp and/or platform assembly includes a handrail system coupled to the decking system at an interface, wherein the handrail system includes a pivoting bracket for adjustable handrail alignment to substantially align a handrail with the grade of the decking system.
WHEELCHAIR RAMP
A ramp transportation system for a wheelchair enables transportation, deployment, and retrieval of a portable ramp by a single wheelchair occupant in the absence of external aid. The device comprises: a platform, configured to support the width of a wheelchair for crossing the platform, having a sufficient stiffness to support a wheelchair and occupant load; a lifting mechanism interface in the platform, disposed at least near each end of the ramp, configured to support cantilever lifting forces on the ramp; a lifting element, configured to engage the lifting mechanism interface and to apply a force to raise and lower the platform between a raised, stowed position and a lowered position, suitable for traversal; and a motor, configured to supply sufficient force on the lifting element to raise and lower the platform.
RAMP DOOR PATIO DECK SYSTEM
A recreational vehicle (RV) includes a ramp door configurable as a ramp or as a patio deck. A stair is attachable to a side of the door. A railing extends about the perimeter of the door when in the deck configuration. First and second support cables may be connected between the door and the RV to support the door when in the deck configuration.
METHOD OF ASSEMBLY OF MODULAR STAIR ASSISTANCE DEVICE FOR PETS
A pet staircase may be formed by joining modular units to each other in succession and that overlie a household staircase. They are retained in position over the household staircase. Each modular unit has stairs and/or ramps. The treads may be adjusted so that they all are parallel to each other and extend horizontally.
ACCESS PLATFORM
An access system for providing passenger access to rolling stock at a designated stopping station, comprising: a dedicated zone for receiving the passenger, the dedicated zone being elevated above a ground surface; a ramp mounted within the dedicated zone and actuable to project from the dedicated zone in both a lateral and a vertical manner to bridge a gap between the dedicated zone and the rolling stock to facilitate access of the passenger to the rolling stock.
Movable platform for a path
An amusement park attraction system includes a user path extending through at least a portion of the amusement park attraction system, a railing extending along the user path, and a platform slidingly and rotatably coupled to the railing. The platform is configured to translate along the railing to position the platform relative to the user path, and the platform is configured to rotate relative to the user path to adjust between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration.
