11686102 · 2023-06-27 · ·

A system and method for waterproofing the interface between a base shoe and a panel is provided. The system includes a weather seal adapted to extend between an inner side wall of the base shoe and an adjacent surface of the panel to seal the gap therebetween. The system includes an elongate groove formed in the inner side wall at a downward offset angle and including a groove entrance that is accessible from directly above. The weather seal includes a foot adapted to be received into the elongate groove when the seal is configured to seal the gap. In this way, the seal may be installed from above and the seal's foot may be pressed into the groove via the groove entrance to secure the seal in place.

RAIL MOUNT STADIUM ANTENNA FOR WIRELESS MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS
20170358842 · 2017-12-14 ·

An antenna system has high capacity, continuous mobile coverage that is especially beneficial in stadium style venues. The use of a low profile, rail mounted antenna system and the abundance of hand and safety rails enable coverage throughout the venue. The system increases the density of communications antennas throughout the stadium providing significantly enhanced mobile voice and data service to a higher number of users over traditional stadium technology.

SAFETY BARRIER FOR AUTOMATED VEHICLE PARKING FACILITY
20170356213 · 2017-12-14 ·

A safety barrier assembly for a parking garage is positioned in proximity to an opening in a floor of the parking garage that accommodates vertical movement of a VRC between floors of the parking garage. The safety barrier assembly has left and right vertical guide columns. A handrail and a knee rail have opposite ends guided for vertical movement in the columns. A bottom rail is connected pivotally to the knee rail and hangs to a position below the knee rail when the knee rail is in the lower position. An actuator causes the bottom rail to pivot up as the knee rail is elevated.

A portable safety rail system includes one or more railings inserted into one or more stackable rail bases. Each rail base can include a plurality of apertures for receiving end rail posts of railings through a raised hub defining an open region between the bottom of the hub and the surface on which the rail base rests. Each end rail post can have a stop flange that engages an upper surface of the hub when inserted therein and an aperture through the end portion that extends into the open region beneath the hub for receiving a pin to lock the post while allowing rotation of the post. The system can also include toe boards that are attached to railings with a mount having an aperture through which railings are extended, allowing the toe boards to also be rotated to be aligned with railings.

PREFABRICATED SPIRAL STAIRCASE

The present invention relates to a prefabricated spiral staircase in which the heights between treads can be freely and finely adjusted, thus being conveniently assembled and installed at installation sites having different story heights.

ACCESSORY HOLDER FOR RAILING SYSTEM

An accessory holder for securing an accessory (such as a light strip) on a structure comprises a rail and a cap. The rail comprises a planar portion and two surfaces extending from the planar portion. The cap comprises an attachment portion and a cover. The accessory is held within a compartment defined by the planar portion, the two surfaces, and the cover. The attachment portion attaches the cap to the rail by engaging with ridges located on the interior faces of the surfaces.

An example post mount system may include a mounting pipe having a plurality of threaded holes for securing at least one hardware item, and a support pipe for fitting over the mounting pipe, where the support pipe includes a plurality of holes that are aligned with the plurality of threaded holes of the mounting pipe.

CORE ASSEMBLY FOR ANCHORING AND SUPPORTING
20170328070 · 2017-11-16 ·

A core assembly and method of installation for anchoring and supporting a post like structure to a substratum where the post base and substratum abut in parallel planes. A core having longitudinal grooves about its perimeter is located between a load distribution plate and the substratum. Anchoring devices appropriate to the substratum material are inserted in a plurality of locations about the perimeter of the abutment and within the confines of the longitudinal grooves or holes within the core which are coupled to load transferring members which travel through the grooves within the core and holes disposed within the load distribution plate and are secured on the distal side of the plate by hardware. The assembly is designed for building applications that are not conducive to cutting holes in the substratum for securement and support. The invention is particularly intended for use in newel posts, yet capable of integration into similar elements where primary securement of the element is achieved in a singular plane of minor dimension.

HAND RAIL SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED COMPONENTS AND METHODS
20220356713 · 2022-11-10 ·

A hand rail system and associated methods. Newel posts of the hand rail system can be mounted in a top mount configuration or a lateral mount configuration. Mounts are receivable in a boot subassembly in a horizontal or vertical arrangement for anchoring the boot subassembly to substructure. After anchoring of the boot subassembly, a column subassembly may be installed and anchored. Openings in the boot and column subassemblies permit access to the interior of the newel post for anchoring the boot and column subassemblies and for connecting a hand rail to the column subassembly. Subsequent installation of covers on the boot subassembly and column subassembly closes the newel post and provides a finished appearance free of external indication that openings in the newel post existed and have been covered. Four-sided turned newels, newel panel retainers, and associated methods are also disclosed.
