Applicator tip for dispensing seaming adhesive to seam adjacent pieces of floor-covering material and method for using same

An applicator for dispensing seaming adhesive onto the edges of pieces of adjacent floor-covering material is provided. The applicator tip can include, from top to bottom, a leg portion, a relatively narrow ankle portion and a foot portion. The body can connect with a seaming adhesive dispensing device to allow seaming adhesive to flow into a passageway in the body. The ankle portion includes an orifice extending through the applicator tip from side-to-side and intersects with the passageway so that seaming adhesive can flow through the orifice. The foot portion includes a pair of opposing wedges extending sideways from the body. The applicator tip can be drawn along a line of abutment between adjacent pieces of floor-covering material. The ankle portion can further include a glue channel that directs the edges of the floor-covering material towards the orifice so that seaming adhesive can be dispensed along the edges and along the bottom surfaces of the edges.

An architectural enclosure comprising a plurality of interwoven flexible rods (10) forming a lattice of first rods (11) parallel to each other attached to the structural element (60) and of second rods (12) parallel to each other orthogonal to the first rods (11), and a plurality of bricks (20) with grooves (21) on their sides containing at least parts of some of said rods (10) wherein some of the first rods (11) are facing portions of the structural element (60) their entire length, and are joined thereto at regular intervals by means of clamps (50), attached to said portions of the structural element (60), surrounding the corresponding first rod (11).

Flooring material and the method for the same

Disclosed herein is a flooring material including: a plasticizer; fibers comprising at least one type of inorganic fibers or at least one type of organic fibers; and a thermoplastic resin. The fibers have an alignment. In addition, a method for manufacturing a flooring material is also disclosed. The method includes preparing a first mixture by mixing a liquid plasticizer with fibers comprising at least one type of inorganic fibers or at least one type of organic fibers; preparing a second mixture in which the fibers are dispersed in the liquid plasticizer by agitating the first mixture; preparing a third mixture by mixing the second mixture with a thermoplastic resin; and forming a floor material through thermo-compression of the third mixture.

Magnetic flooring system adhesive composition
11203705 · 2021-12-21 · ·

A liquid adhesive coating composition that cures into a solid form, used to non-permanently adhere interior floor or wall coverings to substrate floor or wall surfaces respectively, includes a polymer incorporating iron or other paramagnetic, superparamagnetic, ferromagnetic, or ferrimagnetic ingredients, that becomes permanently adhered to the substrate as it cures, and thereafter provides a low-tack adhesive surface that is also magnetically attractive, upon which magnetized floor or wall coverings including certain types of carpet, linoleum, vinyl, wallpaper, and other types of magnetically-backed coverings can be subsequently installed. The combined low-tack adhesive and magnetic adhesion qualities of the cured composition of the invention allow for the magnetically-backed floor or wall coverings to be sufficiently well adhered to the surface of the cured adhesive composition to remain in place during normal usage while retaining the ability for the coverings to be subsequently removed, repositioned or replaced without damaging the respective coverings, adhesive coating composition layer, or substrate.

Support plate for installing tile
11371250 · 2022-06-28 · ·

A support for installing facing materials such as ceramic tiles on a substrate, such as, floors, walls and ceilings. The support plate has a plurality of spaced apart raised portions and recesses in the plate material, and a plurality of openings extending through the top surface and bottom surface of the plate material. The openings exposing a mat layer attached to the bottom of the support plate. Support plates of the invention are used for tile installations between a substrate and tile. Thin-set mortar that is used to secure the tile to the support plate flows into the recesses and into the openings forming a continuous bond between the mortar, openings and mat layer to provide a strong bond between the support plate, mortar and the tiles.
