Vibration absorption device and method for acoustic insulation
A vibration absorption device for acoustic insulation for a building structure comprises an absorbent cushion and a vibration isolation cushion. The building structure is selected from a ceiling structure, a floor structure and a partitioning structure separating two adjacent building compartments or a building compartment and the external environment. The absorbent cushion comprises sound absorbing material and the vibration isolation cushion comprising vibration isolation material. The vibration isolation cushion overlies and is laminated to the absorbent cushion. The vibration isolation cushion is rigid relative to the absorbent cushion. The absorbent cushion is supple relative to the vibration isolation cushion. The vibration absorption device is mountable to the building structure, to isolate vibrations and to provide acoustic insulation between the two separated and adjacent building compartments.
Shock absorbing mat/tile and floor covering employing the same
A shock absorbing mat/tile comprises a body having a generally planar, major top surface and an opposite bottom surface and a plurality of shock absorbing members depending from the bottom surface. At least one of the shock absorbing members has at least one relief formation formed therein configured to accommodate lateral expansion of the shock absorbing member during axial compression thereof.

Performance floor assembly and system
A floor assembly for a performance space is disclosed. The assembly has a planar resilient floor board supported above a base board on a primary support system comprising a plurality of resilient (preferably elastomeric) supports. A secondary support system comprises a plurality of fixed support members and a plurality of movable support members. Each movable support member is movable in a direction parallel to the plane of the floor board between a first position spaced from a corresponding fixed support member such that the floor board is unsupported by the support members and a second position in contact with the corresponding fixed support member such that the floor board is supported by the support members. In the first position, the floor board is in a sprung configuration and in the second position, the floor board is in an unsprung configuration. The invention therefore provides a performance floor which is switchable between sprung and unsprung configurations.
STRUCTURAL/CONSTRUCTIONAL ELEMENT
A structural element, including a base portion and a connecting central pin, has its base portion formed hallow, and having an internal reinforcement in the shape of WOW or MOM, to connect these elements with an insertable central pin so that the cross-section of the pin corresponds to the shape of the chamber between the reinforcements, when the upper surface of the structural element has longitudinal grooves, and is made from a modified polymer or elastomeric material comprising India rubber mixtures. The foundation is monomer ethylene propylene diene or natural rubber or styrene-butadiene rubber and/or combinations of the natural rubber/styrene-butadiene rubber, or thermoplastic elastomers, whose base is monomer ethylene-propylene-diene or polypropylene/monomer ethylene-propylene-diene or polyvinylchloride, or thermoplastic vulcanizates, whose base is monomer ethylene-propylene-diene and polyethylene or natural and/or synthetic rubber, modified by polyethylene or polypropylene.
Membrane
The membrane is for use with a planar surface and includes a generally planar member and a plurality of resilient tabs. The generally planar member, in use, is disposed in parallel relation to and adjacent the planar surface and, at least in use, defines a plurality of troughs, the troughs being interconnected to define a planar network of troughs that is disposed parallel to the surface, each trough presenting away from the surface in use and terminating in a common plane that is parallel to and spaced from the surface. The tabs are provided for each of one or more of the troughs, the tab lying in the common plane and spanning at least in part across said each trough.
Floor underlayment having self-sealing vapor barrier
A flooring material having a textile pad substructure with a density of greater than 10 pounds per cubic foot is provided. The textile pad has reinforcement and binding fibers. The binding fibers are thermoplastic and are used to bind the reinforcement fibers together. The pad is created by heating and compressing a fibrous textile batt so that it has a density of greater than 13 pounds per cubic foot.

Edge attached film-foam sheet
The present disclosure generally relates to devices and methods for furniture protection. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to foam-film sheets configured to protect furniture from damage. An exemplary foam-film sheet as disclosed herein includes a sheet of foam material having a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge; a sheet of film material having a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge; a first seal between a portion of the foam material proximate its first lateral edge and a portion of the film material proximate its first lateral edge; and a second seal between a portion of the foam material proximate its second lateral edge and a portion of the film material proximate its second lateral edge, wherein the film and foam are substantially unseated along the entire transverse width between the first and second sealed portions near the lateral edges of the foam material.
Panel, covering and method for installing such panels
A panel for forming a covering, more particularly a floor panel for forming a floor covering, which at least at two opposite edges, comprises coupling parts arranged to couple two of such panels to each other by means of a downward movement of one panel in respect to the other. The coupling parts form a first locking system arranged to lock in the plane of the panels and perpendicularly to the edges, as well as form a second locking system, which effects a locking perpendicularly to the plane of the panels. At least one of the coupling parts is formed at least partially in soft PVC (polyvinyl chloride), as well as at least partially formed from a milled profiled part of this soft PVC.
