Athletic floor and method therefor
A new athletic floor resiliently retrofit to a worn athletic floor having a supporting sleeper connected to a ground substrate. The new athletic floor incudes a channel section connected to the supporting sleeper, the channel section having a top plate located between and connected to each of a left vertical side wall spaced apart from a right vertical side wall. The left vertical side wall includes a left horizontal flange extending outward from the top plate and the right vertical side wall includes a right horizontal flange extending outward from the top plate. A left resilient pad rests on the left horizontal flange and a right resilient pad rests on the right horizontal flange. A new floor rests on the left resilient pad and the right resilient pad and is spaced from the top plate a first distance in a first resilient compression condition.
MODULAR FLOORING WITH IMPROVED GRIP
A modular tile is disclosed configured to interlock with multiple tiles to form a modular floor covering over a floor. The tile includes improved grip and bounce characteristics. The tile may include an upper contact surface having rib with top edges that are sharp. Protrusions may extend from the upper contact surface to provide grip and increase ball bounce performance. The tile may be made of a composite of rigid plastic and rubber to improper bounce characteristics, including by increasing the degree to which the tile conforms with a subfloor.
INTERLOCKING MODULAR MAT WITH SPONGE INSERT
An interlocking modular mat having four sides has female connectors on two sides and male connectors on the other two sides so that the modular mat can interlock with an adjacent mat and its connectors. The modular mat is configured with a plurality of structures surrounding a periphery of a top portion of the mat. The plurality of structures in combination with an underside of the top portion of the mat form a cavity. A sponge insert is configured to fit in the cavity and have a height such that a portion of the sponge insert extends from a bottom side the mat body. With the sponge insert extending beyond the bottom side of the mat body, the sponge insert bottom face generally become the supporting bottom of the modular mat to provide a more cushioned feel for a mat user.
Underpayment panel having drainage channels
An impact-absorbing assembly includes a covering layer being one or more of artificial turf, rubber mats, polymer mats, short pile carpeting, particulate infill, wood chips, and ground rubber chips. Also included is a layer of underlayment panels positioned beneath the covering layer. The panels have a panel section with a plurality of drain holes formed therethrough. A top surface of the panels is configured to support the covering layer. A bottom surface of the panels has a plurality of bottom projections that cooperate to define bottom channels suitable to permit water flow across the bottom surface, the bottom channels being in fluid communication with the panel drain holes. The bottom projections define a first spring rate characteristic that is part of a first stage and a second spring rate characteristic is part of a second stage, the first stage having a smaller volume of material than the second stage.
Modular Sprung Floor
A method, system and apparatus for a modular sprung floor. An example embodiment is a sprung floor module having interchangeable components. Interchangeable components make up standardized assemblies. An example embodiment has a frame module that may be installed in a series to cover an area. The frame module comprises a frame that supports a performance surface. Standardized components include fiber-reinforced composite linear-structural members combined with elastomeric support members.

LIGHT THERAPY TREATMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS
A method and apparatus for minimizing tissue adhesion in a tissue of a subject includes applying light, to the tissue, that reduces at least one adhesion marker in the tissue, the light having wavelengths in at least one of a first wavelength range of 730-770 nm and a second wavelength range of 930-970 nm, wherein the at least one adhesion marker includes at least one of a transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-β1), a vascular endothelial growth factor, (VEGF), and a collagen alpha-1(I) chain (COL|α|), and wherein the light is free of wavelengths that increase the at least one adhesion marker.
