Method and apparatus for protecting building-related elements from collision damages
The present disclosure is a method and apparatus for protecting building-related elements from collision damages. The apparatus can be designed to withstand high-impact collisions such as those caused by errant operation of heavy equipment. The method and apparatus are intended to be applicable to buildings already constructed and do not have to be implemented or considered before or during building design. In one exemplary embodiment, the apparatus can protect downspouts of warehouse sprinkler systems from collision damage that could result in pipe eruption.

CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS
A construction element is provided for forming a corner of a surface of a building, the surface including wall panels attached to framing studs. The construction element includes: a corner-forming surface that that is shaped to extend, in a cross-sectional view, between two separate wall panels, such that ends of the corner-forming surface, as viewed in the cross-sectional view, substantially match respective corners of the wall panels. The construction element may be provided in multiple sections that are placed end to end and connected together.
Window trim for replacement windows
An adhesive backed window trim bendable and divisible along a hinge separating the trim into two strips with score lines in each strip. A nub is formed along the side edges of the window trim for use in providing a finished edge concealing the adhesive when the undivided trim or the trim strips are used during installation of a replacement window or the like. The trim is co-extruded from a rigid PVC and plasticized PVC with shallow furrows on the rear face forming the score lines.
VENTILATION MEMBER AND SYSTEMS INCORPORATING THE SAME
A ventilation member includes a base panel for mounting onto a substrate, an upper panel extending transversely from the base panel, a lower panel spaced apart from the upper panel, and an inner panel extending transversely from the lower panel. A passageway is defined having a first portion defined between the base panel and the inner panel and a second portion extending transversely from the first portion and being defined between the upper and the lower panel. When used as part of a system, the ventilation member may be an upper ventilation member and the system may include a second lower ventilation member including a base panel and a leg extending transversely thereof.

BUMP STRIP
A bump strip includes first and second end caps and an intermediate part that, together, define a length of the bump strip. The end caps having an end part and a connecting part, and whereby one or more fastening holes is provided through the end cap connecting parts and the intermediate part such that a single fastener passing through the fastening hole of an end cap and the intermediate part secures the bump strip to a surface to be protected.
Method of Attaching Molding, Trip, or Panels to Structures
A panel mounting system for mounting building materials to a building surface includes a rigid cleat fixed with the building surface. Multiple building panels each have a cleat depression formed in a rear surface for receiving the cleat. Each edge of the building panel interlocks with an adjacent panel so that all of the building panels hold each other together against the building surface along with the cleat. Some of the building panels may include a hooked flange projecting that engages a flange-receiving groove of an adjacent building panel to mutually secure the building panels together. Some embodiments include a gable rail fixed with the building surface that projecting outwardly to engage a gable rail-receiving slot formed within the rear surface of a trim panel that has an ornate front surface. Other decorative panels may be included for fixing with the trim panels or other of the bundling panels.

Below top of wall ventilation screed device and assembly
A ventilation screed comprising: an attachment flange having a top portion and a bottom portion; a drip edge protruding from the attachment flange and a return leg that protrudes back from the drip edge, wherein the drip edge is angled downward in a first direction and the return leg is angled downward in a second direction; a drainage cavity protrusion protruding from the attachment flange above the drip edge, wherein the drainage cavity protrusion has an L-shaped drainage trough portion having at least one drainage opening in a bottom portion and a substantially vertical portion with a top end and a bottom end in communication with the bottom portion, an upper ground portion in communication with the top end of the substantially vertical portion of the L-shaped drainage trough portion extending outward from the substantially vertical portion and a drainage cavity shroud extending substantially downward from the upper ground portion.
