A bracket is provided for use in installing door hardware on a support surface. The bracket comprises a rigid member having a longitudinal axis, a front surface, a substantially planar rear surface for engaging the support surface, and a peripheral edge extending between and joining the front and rear surfaces. A spirit bubble level is disposed on the rigid member such that the rigid member can be oriented relative to a horizontal line or a vertical line, the level having the bubble centered only when the level is horizontal or vertical. At least a portion of the peripheral edge of the rigid member provides a mounting surface for the door hardware when the rigid member is secured to the support surface.

The measurement device can function as a spacer to gauge short distances such as when installing trim around a window or door casement or when installing cabinetry, tile, or siding.

An extendable window prop for supporting double-hung windows includes a pole that is of adjustable length. A crossbar is coupled to and extends perpendicularly from an upper end of the pole. A first rod is coupled proximate to the upper end of the pole and extends substantially perpendicularly from the pole. The first rod is substantially perpendicular to the crossbar. A second rod is coupled to and extends substantially perpendicularly from the first rod distal from the pole. The second rod is transverse to the pole. The crossbar is positioned on the pole such that the crossbar is configured to position a first window. The first window is supported by the pole. The second rod is positioned on the first rod such that the second rod is positioned to abut a frame of the first window that is positioned on the crossbar.

A perimeter replication device for a frame having an adjustable frame that includes a plurality of elongate members, and a plurality of hinges connected to the plurality of elongate members. Each elongate member is connected at a first end to a first hinge of the plurality of hinges and at a second end to a second hinge of the plurality of hinges such that the adjustable frame is substantially a continuous structure. Each elongate member are telescopic. The perimeter replication device further includes a locking unit configured to lock the adjustable frame in a locked configuration. The locking unit has an elongate member locking mechanism that locks each elongate member in any position between a telescopically unextended configuration and a maximum telescopically extended configuration and a hinge locking mechanism that locks each hinge. Further disclosed is a method for replicating the perimeter of a door frame.
