Thermally adaptive wall covering

A thermally adaptive wall covering is operable to cover at least part of a wall and to move in response to a change in covering temperature. The wall covering includes a laminated composite panel with first and second panel layers and an intermediate connecting structure that connects the panel layers relative to one another along an interface defined between the panel layers. The first and second panel layers have, respectively, first and second coefficients of thermal expansion that are different from each other and cause expansion and contraction of the corresponding panel layers along an interface therebetween. The connecting structure permits expansion and/or contraction of each panel layer relative to the other panel layer in response to the covering temperature change so that the panel flexes.

The present disclosure provides embodiments of a reinforced porcelain panel product such as for renovations or new construction in buildings. In an embodiment, a reinforced porcelain panel product includes a porcelain slab and a structural core board. The porcelain slab includes a top surface with a first surface area. The structural core board includes a core material having a second surface area and a thickness greater than the porcelain slab. A top surface of the structural core board is positioned in contact with a bottom surface of the porcelain slab with an adhesive. A buffer region is defined by regions of the structural core board extending beyond outer peripheries of the porcelain slab. The buffer region enhances protection from cracking when the reinforced porcelain panel product is installed, handled, transported, or cut. The bottom surface of the structural core board is to be attach to a mounting surface when installed.

A building panel system include vertical members and horizontal members mounted to the vertical member, and a plurality of panel modules. Each of the panel modules includes a building panel, and a hanging member that is connected to the building panel and that is hung on a corresponding one of the vertical members and the horizontal members. The building panels of the panel modules cooperatively form a panel wall that is adapted to be spaced apart from a wall so that an air flow channel is formed between the panel wall and the wall and is adapted to communicate with an external space for air flowing.

Insulating floor system including (i) a grooved base layer formed from base layer grooved portions, (ii) a transverse peripheral edge rail formed from transverse peripheral edge rail portions, (iii) a parallel peripheral edge rail formed from parallel peripheral edge rail portions, and (iv) interior rails formed from interior rail portions. The base layer includes grooves in an upper surface. Each of the transverse peripheral edge rail portions include a plurality of downwardly projecting mating protrusions that mate within the base layer grooves. Each of the parallel peripheral edge rail portions include a downwardly projecting protrusion that mates within a peripheral groove of the base layer. At least one of the interior rails can be a locking rail, where locking rail portions defining the locking rail include a plurality of downwardly projecting mating protrusions that mate within terminal grooves of adjacent base layer grooved portions, locking such portions together.
