Platform system with moveable dividers
A modular system for forming a floor or platform. The modular system may have vertical dividers for forming divided sections. Multiple horizontal sections are positioned in a side by side arrangement and connected with connectors to form the platform or floor in a desired shape and coverage. Vertical dividers inserted into the horizontal sections and retained in the horizontal sections provide separation of the modular system into compartments.
Scaffold With Latch Assembly and Method
A scaffold upon which a person stands includes a platform with a first leg assembly rotatably attached to the platform. The scaffold includes a latch assembly having a latch pivot axis coupled to the platform. The scaffold includes a stud attached to a first leg of the first leg assembly to which the latch assembly engages when the first leg assembly is moved into the extended position to automatically lock the first leg assembly in the extended position where the latch assembly is in a set position. When the latch assembly is moved out of the set position, the stud on the first leg disengages from the latch assembly and the first leg assembly is able to rotate about the first leg assembly pivot axis to a folded position. A method for using a scaffold.

Light footing shoring of a floating roof inside a tank during tank inspection and maintenance
A shoring structure for insertion inside a tank through a manway of the tank and for installation under the floating roof of the tank. This shoring structure has: a telescoping upright structure made of detachable elements; and these detachable elements being configured for movement through the manway of the tank. Foldable top and bottom panels are mountable to the telescoping upright structure, the top and bottom panels being also respectively configured for movement through the manway of the tank. The foldable bottom plate being configured for integration of a pallet jack thereto, for movement of the shoring structure in a raised position inside the tank when the top and bottom panels being mounted to the upright structure. In another aspect, there is provided a combination of a shoring structure and a pallet jack incorporated in this shoring structure. Also described is a method of inspecting or maintaining a tank.
Quad-chord truss and platform containing same
A foldable quad-chord truss which can be connected end-to-end with like trusses. Each pair of chords are rigidly attached, and connector members intermediate the ends are swivelly attached to the chord pairs to effect the folding into a compact shape for transport and storage. The connector members are adapted for attachment to connector members of beams which may extend perpendicular to a parallel pair of the trusses and attached thereto. The laid trusses and beams is overlaid with sheets of corrugated sheet metal which overlap each other along their adjacent edges. While standing on a sheet of laid sheet metal adjacent ends of an already laid pair of trusses, another truss can be held adjacent the edge of the sheet metal for attaching an end of the other truss along only one side so that it can then be swung outwardly into a position wherein the other end of the other truss can also be attached to rigidly connect the trusses end-to-end.
FOLDING LOCKING MECHANISM USED FOR STEP STOOL
A folding locking mechanism used for a step stool is disclosed. The step stool includes a stool plate, stool legs rotatably arranged on the stool plate and a locking mechanism used for locking the stool legs. The locking mechanism includes a first connecting piece and a pin, wherein the first connecting piece is fixedly connected with the stool plate and is provided with a limiting hole allowing the pin to fall therein, and the pin is limited in the radial direction and is movable in the axial direction, relative to the stool legs.

Movable Base for Use with a Scaffold
A base for use with scaffolding. The base includes side support members and cross members. The side support members have scaffold receiving members provided at ends thereof. The cross members extend between the side support members and are rotatably mounted to the side support members. Wheels are mounted to the cross members. As the cross members are rotated from a first position to a second position, the wheels are moved from an initial position in which the wheels are spaced from a ground or floor surface to a second position in which the wheels are positioned in engagement with the ground or floor surface.
