Rotor blade inspection rig

Disclosed is a rotor blade inspection device having a maintenance chamber through which a rotor blade can pass vertically, wherein the floor opening and a roof opening, through which the rotor blade can pass, are arranged in the chamber floor and in the chamber roof of the maintenance chamber, characterized in that the maintenance chamber is arranged on a supporting frame, and in that the bracing frame can be supported on a tower of a wind turbine, and in that the chamber floor and the chamber roof of the maintenance chamber are respectively designed as a diaphragm system in order to minimize a gap between the floor opening or roof opening and the rotor blade.

Platform and the hanging thereof from a bridge main cable

A platform and method for configuring and erecting a platform of support beams to which decking is applied so that it is suspended from and disposed below a main cable of a bridge. In one embodiment, a plurality of main cable clamps are spaced along and grippingly attached to the main cable. A pair of elongate members are each attached at one end to a respective one of the main cable clamps and at an other end to the respective support beam. In another embodiment, spaced slings are applied to the main cable so that each extends around the main cable. Ends of each of the slings are attached to a respective one of the support beams respectively. One end of a cable is attached to a sling intermediate ends thereof. The cable is extended between the sling and an anchor point and substantially parallel to the main cable there along to restrain the sling from slippage along the length of the main cable.

Structure for staging materials on a roof structure

The apparatus may include a ridge member, a first arm rotatably coupled to the ridge member and extending outward, relative to the ridge member, in a first plane angled relative to a first pitch of a roof structure. Also, the apparatus may include a second arm rotatably coupled to the ridge member and extending outward, relative to the ridge member, in a second plane angled relative to a second pitch of the roof structure. The ridge member may be positioned at an apex between the first pitch and the second pitch along a ridge of the roof structure. Further, materials for installation may be placed on at least one of the first arm and the second arm positioned between the roof structure and the materials. Additionally, the apparatus may include a load arm coupled at each respective end portion of the first arm and the second arm.

Structure for supporting an information or surveillance device above a road

The present invention relates to a structure for supporting an information or surveillance device above a road. The structure includes: at least one post extending upwards from the ground to an elevated position, at least one overhead beam which is supported by said post, the overhead beam extending over a horizontal distance above the road, at least one information or surveillance device being connected to said overhead beam and being positioned above the road, a catwalk extending along the overhead beam, wherein said catwalk comprises a guard rail assembly which is movable between: an operating position in which the guard rail assembly extends upwardly from a floor of the catwalk and protects personnel from falling from the catwalk, and a retracted, non-operating position in which the guard rail assembly is concealed behind the overhead beam when viewed from a direction of approaching traffic on the road.
