A side rail assembly useful for securing a deck of a scaffold comprises a side rail configured to be supported between two ladder frames in first and second orientations. The side rail includes first and second support surfaces for supporting the deck in the first and second orientations, respectively. First and second vertically aligned slots are formed in respective opposing surfaces of the side rail. The side rail assembly further comprises a locking pin assembly comprising a shaft, a locking tab, and a biasing member to bias the locking tab into engagement with the deck and secure the deck against one of the support surfaces of the side rail depending on the orientation. The locking pin assembly is configured to be removably engaged with the first and second slots of the side rail in both the first and second orientations.

Various embodiments and features of railing systems are provided. For example, the railing system may be disposed around industrial/commercial equipment (e.g., rooftop condensing unit) that includes a baserail near the bottom of the industrial/commercial equipment and may be disposed on a structural support. The railing system may include a plurality of vertical supports extending from the baserail or structural support to above a top portion of the industrial/commercial equipment; railing extending between the vertical supports; and an attachment system to attach the vertical supports to the baserail or structural support so that the vertical supports are configured to distribute any weight received directly to the baserail or structural support via the attachment system.

A system and method for forming scaffolding wherein the system comprises a plurality of upright columns arranged along a line adjacent to a vertical surface and anchored proximate to a base thereof and a platform supported by the plurality of upright columns. The method comprises anchoring a first set of a plurality of upright column segments by a base support proximate to a bottom of wall along a single line, extending a plurality of subsequent upright column segments from the first set of upright column segments to form a plurality of inline upright columns and supporting a platform from the plurality of upright columns.

A system and method for forming scaffolding wherein the system comprises a plurality of upright columns arranged along a line adjacent to a vertical surface and anchored proximate to a base thereof and a platform supported by the plurality of upright columns. A scaffold clamp cooperates with a scaffold ledger to accommodate aligned placement of the scaffold clamp to the ledger at modular positions in the length of the ledger. The scaffold clamp includes an inwardly directed alignment lug sized for receipt in one or more clamp locating holes provided in the length of the ledger at modular positions. This arrangement provides accurate securement of the clamp to the ledger at predetermined modular positions and reduces problems that can occur with respect to erection of the scaffold system.

A scaffold clamp cooperates with a scaffold ledger to accommodate aligned placement of the scaffold clamp to the ledger at modular positions in the length of the ledger. A modular platform system utilizing a number of components including a platform. The platform is configured so that each of the components may interchangeably connect to any side of the platform. The components include, for example, handrails and stairways, as well as other platforms. The platform and most of the components are formed from single, continuous pieces of metal.
