ACCESSIBLE WORK OVER PLATFORM WITH OUTRIGGER SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD
20200149299 · 2020-05-14 · ·

The disclosure relates to a work over platform apparatus, system, and method of use with trenches and cellars. The apparatus includes two platform portions joined at the center by a set of hinges. The set of hinges is divided to allow for cutouts in each of the platform portions. When deployed the cutout portions are aligned to form an opening that allows work personnel to access the cellar through the work over platform. The work over platform may be collapsed along its hinges for compact transport to and from a work site. The system includes multiple apparatuses positioned adjacent to one another along the same cellar. Outriggers for guidelines are positioned in a novel spider leg fashion to allow greater accessibility to the platform by vehicles. The method includes deploying, using, and collapsing the apparatus.

Articulating work platform support system, work platform system, and methods of use thereof

The invention includes a work platform and support system that includes a hub and joist configuration, wherein the hubs and joists are capable of articulation, or pivoting. One method of installation allows for sections of new work platform system to be extended from an existing suspended work platform system. The system is also capable of supporting, without failure, its own weight and at least four times the maximum intended load applied to it.

A scaffold that is quick and easy to assemble while still implementing safety measures. The scaffold can include end caps that resist or prevent users from falling off the ends of the scaffold. The end caps are quickly assembled to the scaffold with a removable rod and pin mechanism. Moreover, to prevent a user from falling off the front or back of the scaffold, a pole and a mid-rail connector can be connected to the scaffold across the front or back, respectively, between an upper barrier and a lower platform. The pole can be inserted through connectors that are coupled to the scaffold, and can also be connected to mid-rail brackets for additional structural stability.
