LIFTING AND JACKING APPARATUS
A lifting and jacking apparatus including a void former configured for embedment in a concrete slab before pouring of the concrete slab and a lifting bail removably insertable in and securely attachable to the void former. The void former includes a built in jacking screw configured to assist in adjusting the height of the concrete slab.
Lifting anchor assembly for precast concrete structures
A lifting anchor assembly that is configured to be embedded in a tilt-up concrete structure includes an anchor member that has a central portion configured to engage a lift apparatus and a pair of legs that extend downward from the central portion. A lower portion of each of the pair of legs includes a curved section configured to engage within a concrete structure during its forming process. A spacer may be selected to attach at an end portion of each the pair of legs, where the spacers each extend downward from the anchor member and rest on a floor surface of a concrete form to support the anchor member at a desired spacing from the floor and upright within the concrete structure that is cast in the concrete form.

Construction assembly
A construction article 12 usable in the construction of a building made of concrete. The article 12 has base and side members 32, 34 in the form of plates extending perpendicularly from each other in an L-shape configuration. Three spaced upstanding elongate members 42 are provided upstanding from the base member 32. An appropriately shaped closure member 14 is provided which closes the open ends of the elongate members 42 such that when concrete is poured thereover the members 42 leave three openings extending through the set concrete to permit fixings to extend therethrough.

Concrete form with removable sidewall
A concrete form includes a first sidewall and a second sidewall positioned in parallel and spaced relation to each other and a cross tie having opposed first and second ends, where at least the first sidewall is a removable sidewall removably secured to the first end of the cross tie. The second sidewall is removably secured to the second end of the cross tie and may be a removable sidewall or a non-removable sidewall. The concrete form also includes a spacer positioned between the first sidewall and the first end of the cross tie. The spacer may be removable along with the first sidewall. Concrete forming assemblies and methods may incorporate concrete forms as described herein.

CONCRETE DOWEL PLACEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A concrete dowel placement system and methods for making the same. The system allows for accurate and easy substantially-parallel or parallel placement of slip dowels within sections of concrete so that adjacent sections of concrete may be allowed to undergo thermal expansion and contraction while remaining in a common plane without cracking or faulting. The system includes a coupler and a sheath. The sheath is configured to be slidably extensible over the coupler and may be held to the coupler by friction. An outer surface of the sheath may be textured. Additionally, a method of constructing the concrete dowel placement system includes extruding material to form two tubes of different sizes. The tubes are then attached to each other, then material is extruded or injection molded to form a sheath. Alternatively, construction may include extruding material to form a tube, then removing some of the material from the tube in order to form a coupler.

Concrete anchor bodies and plugs
An anchor for being embedded in concrete for attachment to a fastener to support a load comprises a plug having a main body portion extending upwardly from a base portion, the plug for being attached to a form board prior to pouring of concrete, the plug having an end portion disposed a distance from the form board; and an anchor body attached to the end portion. The plug is separable from the anchor body and removable from the concrete after the concrete is cured, leaving the anchor body embedded in the concrete, the plug providing a void in the concrete after removal to provide an access opening for a threaded portion of a fastener to attach to the anchor body.
